Publisher's Summary

Matt Jackson, clutch hitter, fielder extraordinaire, and team captain, is dynamite on the baseball field, but a loser with women. Or is he? He makes a show of coming on to chicks in bars, but always strikes out. Convinced being dateless is safer, Matt keeps his distance from women. Is he simply an insensitive chauvinist, or a crafty man hiding a secret?
Everything he believes in is challenged the day he walks in on a beautiful woman in the locker room. Dusty, the sharp-tongued spitfire, cuts the all-star pro down to size. Unwilling to accept second-class status, she challenges everything he knows about women.
Does a solo life make living with emotional pain easier? Drawn to the stunning, talented woman, Matt has a long way to go to win her trust. Getting close to Dusty is dangerous. Can he risk his well-protected heart? Matt faces a difficult choice - will he make the right decision?
Caution: locker room language.

Another Romance Hit!

This is the first bok in the series that I've listened to, and as always Jim Roberts hours the narration out of the park! Jean Joachim had a way with writing romance, and Jim Roberts is able to bring the story to life. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series!!!

Great Baseball Romance

Any additional comments?

Matt Jackson, Catcher is Book 2 in the Bottom of the Ninth Series but can be listened to as a standalone. Matt is a professional catcher and Dusty is a pro softball pitcher who meet up at a kid's sports clinic. Matt has always avoided relationships and harbors painful secrets. Will Dusty be the one to help him overcome his past traumas and enable him to finally move on?

This was a well written book with strong character development, romance and a few twists and turns to keep my interest. As a huge baseball fan, I liked the details and insight into the sport that were provided as a backdrop to the story. The narration of Jim Roberts was terrific and enhanced my listening experience. I loved Matt and Dusty's story and would recommend Matt Jackson, Catcher.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is my honest opinion.
