Publisher's summary

To bridal boutique owner Madeline Krug, organizing a Christmas wedding sounds like a joy - until she finds out she'll be working closely with the gorgeous brother of the bride, movie star Jonny Blaze. How will a small-town girl like her keep from falling for the world's sexiest guy? Especially with mistletoe lurking around every corner!

Jonny came to Fool's Gold looking for normal, not for love. Happily ever after only happens in the movies. Still, nothing about this quirky town is quite what he expected, and "ordinary" Madeline is the most extraordinary woman he's ever met. Refreshingly honest, disarmingly sweet. Achingly beautiful.

Planning the perfect wedding leads to candlelit dinners and strolls through snow-covered streets. And Madeline finds Jonny in real life even more captivating than her celebrity crush. But will the action star be brave enough to risk his heart and step into the role of a lifetime?

The best of the series

The story line was perfection. The characters evolved in a truly romantic way. This is my favorite Fools Gold Book!

Movie Star crush becomes Hero Boyfriend

Would you listen to Marry Me at Christmas again? Why?

I absolutely would. Madeline finally getting to know her movie star crush as a person and Jonny's love for his sister totally made this a keeper.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Marry Me at Christmas?

When Jonny and Madeline take Raven, the dog, shopping at the pet store.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Madeline admits to Jonny that she loves him after she drives to the ranch in the snow.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Movie star and bridal consultant make magic

Any additional comments?

Another Fool's Gold super hit from Susan Mallery.

Sickly sweet for the sweet tooth I occasionally get

Fools Gold is kind of a utopia. People go to it, fall in love and become so happy that they never want to leave. The main characters and townspeople are nearly perfect and nothing really bad happens. Marry me at Christmas was no exception.

Loved the story. The narrator was very good.

Susan Mallory is a great romance author. The narration was well done. This is a great book to listen to on a commute.

Cute Story

I thought this was a really cute Christmas read. I enjoyed it for what it is. The only thing that got me is why a guy would be planning out most of his sisters wedding, but then again there wouldn't be a story if he weren't.

Junior high school romance with awful narration

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator is **awful**. She is nasally, high-pitched and overly dramatic. She ar... tick... you... laytsss much too dramatically. And she really only has about 3 voices. Very amateurish, in my opinion. She took a very poorly written Christmas "romance" with poor character development and predictable plot lines and just made it SO much worse!

If you’ve listened to books by Susan Mallery before, how does this one compare?

Haven't and, based on this book, won't! The plot was trite and predictable. The characters were trite... and predictable. The story was extremely predictable and... zzzzz.....

Oh, sorry, I drifted off.

How could the performance have been better?

Nothing could have saved this terrible book

Was Marry Me at Christmas worth the listening time?

No. The plot was trite, predictable and written seemingly by a 16-year-old girl ... for other 16-year-old girls.
