Winona Campbell has never had much, but what little she does possess she has always been more than glad to share it. Always there for anyone in their time of need she never puts herself first.

Robson Philbert has studied hard and longs to bring his knowledge and skills as a doctor to Silver River. But he has no time for a wife and family much as he longs for one. But to his surprise someone thinks it is time he found one!

Sweet clean fun read

Any additional comments?

This is short sweet and to the point with likeable characters you can relate to. I loved the mystery of who ordered the doc a bride which you will find out at the end. Winona wants to get married but must take care of her mother who health is failing fast. She would love a little adventure, a new place but knows she must stay where she is to help take care of the family she has left to her. Picking up the newspaper and reading the ads she does find one ad that holds her interest and decided to write to the doctor. Robson is surprised to be getting letters as he shakes his head wondering who placed this ad for him. One letter holds his attention the honest he just has to write back. A friendship starts neither feel they can marry. Where will it lead.

Mr. Taylor does a wonderful job of narration from the many different characters to the feel of emotions. You never are in doubt just who is talking or what they are feeling. I found both his female and male voices to be a delight from the strong male to the soft female you could really feel the pain, sorrow, and happiness he gives them. I heard no background noise or any places where the volume changes. There are no repeating of words just a wonderful delightful listen. If any breaks where taken I could not tell. His voice is strong and clear giving you a delightful listen. His performance is outstanding from the emotion to his voices he really make the story come alive. He is a very talented narrator that pulls the listener in giving a very vivid listen that you can picture the scenes in your mind.

If you are looking for a short sweet read that is fun, with sorrow, love and pain but does make you smile you should give this one a try. It is well written with a very good plot that keeps you interested.

Mail Order Bride Winona

Mail Order Bride Winona: Silver River Brides, Book 4
Written by: Karla Gracey

A sweet, clean western, mail order bride historical fiction. Book 4 in the series finds the new doctor trying to find out who thinks he needs a bride. Winona Campbell answers the ad but doesn't think she will be chosen. Will she leave her addled mother or will she be able to take her along? This series is pleasing to listen to, especially on a 105° day.

Thank you Karla Gracey for the great listen!

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Alan Taylor does a fine job of bringing the story to life. Alan Taylor makes listening enjoyable.

Sweet Romance

The last of the Silver River Brides, Winona and Robson are so sweet and entertaining. I love the mystery of trying to figure out who wrote the initial letter that brought the two together. Karla Gracey has a way of writing with these novellas that makes you feel like you are part of the Montana community and you are trying to set up the marriages right along with the characters. This arranged set up turned out perfect. The best parts to me(besides the falling in love) is meeting Winona's mother and her moments of clarity and good advice.

Alan Taylor again performs this book with perfection. I am so glad he was kept on as the narrator, he has come to be the Montana community for me with his warm, baritone voice.
