Publisher's Summary

Good dragons? Bad dragons? Twenty-four hours ago, private chef Tessa Byrne didn't know about the terrifying world of shifters. Now she knows too much, like the fact that a ruthless dragon lord is determined to claim her - forever. Tessa flees to Maui, where sunny skies, swaying palms, and a handsome stranger conspire to play tricks with her heart. Can she truly trust Kai Llewellyn and his band of battle-hardened shapeshifters to save her from a gruesome fate?
Don't trust a human, and never, ever fall in love with one. Those are lessons Kai learned the hard way. But Tessa is different. Her emerald eyes mirror the mysterious pendant she wears, and her flaming red hair makes his heart race. Is his inner dragon just greedy for a new kind of treasure, or is Tessa his destined mate?

This was my first Anna Lowe story, and it won't be my last. Lure of the Dragon ticked off everything I look for in a good PNR. A well written, fast paced, action packed plot, unique and interesting characters, and of course romance. It was an instant love story, but like any good PNR it's more than just attraction. There's something special about Tessa that makes her desirable to dragon shifters. She didn't know shifters existed, but when one of her clients tries to force her to mate him, she goes on the run to Hawaii, asking for help from the only people who can keep her safe.... more shifters. These highly trained, hot shifters are mix of some of our favorite shifters. The each have their own personalities, and I enjoyed how they interacted with each other.

The narration was great! Kelsey Osborne did a great job on both the female and male characters. I would definitely listen to other audios narrated by her.

Overall, this was a good entertaining story that kept me engaged, and an excellent whispersync deal. I will be keeping my eye out for the next book to be released in audio.

Not quite the Jewel I thought it would be

To start this wasn't a bad read/listen. The story although was interesting and had my attention there were a few flaws within the storyline and I wanted a little more development for the main characters and between our dragon and his mate.
The biggest flaw within the story that really should have been corrected is Kai's mother who is human and died did in fact birth Kai....but later we learn that Tessa is so special because she can birth a baby that could shift...which other humans apparently can't since (and I am paraphrasing but close) "any child from a human couldn't shift and dragons wouldn't care about any baby from a human for that reason". This is a BIG whole in the storyline.

I will give the next book another try and the author as well. Worth the credit...if you can overlook a few holes...
