Molly harpers books always make me feel lighter. I absolutely love how funny and easy flowing her books are. And Amanda Ronconi is one of the best narrators. She brings the books to life.

I couldn't stop listening. Engaging characters, good believable world building, mystery, paranormal hijinks, absolutely fabulous narration.

MAKE THIS A SHOW ALREADY!
After listening to the first book and falling in love and devouring the second, I am left desperate for more! The writing is so cleaver and funny! All the characters are so endearing and engaging! I could see this turning into an ongoing series and I really hope it does! It reminds of a cross between Eureka! And Lost Girl. Can’t wait for more!

Great story; rethink the male narrator
I like Molly Harper's books, and this series is no exception. One reason her audiobooks are so well received is Amanda Ronconi. She's good. Really good. The introduction of another voice might be OK, but I don't think Mr. Davis is a good counterpoint or a good blend with Ms. Ronconi. It's just not working for me.

Delightful comfort food
The Mystic Bayou series has become my go-to “comfort food” listening. Molly Harper’s characters have depth to go along with their genre-dictated predictability. In addition to being cleverly written, they’re well performed by Jonathan Davis and Amanda Ronconi. I’m particularly fond of the adult approach to romance and friendship depicted in this second book. The only mildly frustrating thing is the amount of repetition of description of locations like the pie shop and city hall. But that’s to be expected in a location-bound series where the author doesn’t assume the readers encounter her books sequentially.
