Publisher's Summary

His leg is the reason he's off the SEAL Teams, but it's his heart that hurts the most.
Derek Farley has a lot of time on his hands now, but what he really wants is to get into trouble. If he could just show Remy he didn't need her, he could perhaps walk away a free man. So what else does a bad-ass former Navy SEAL explosives expert do? Enroll in culinary school in St. Helena! He might make a great pastry chef, if he can get that arrow out of his chest.
Remington Bolt is a crack shot at lethally wounding every man who's ever tried to tie her down. But her almost forever man comes back, stirring up the pot of sweet tasting memories and mouth-watering fantasies. He's got her oven stoked. If she's not careful she'll be dessert.

Short But Intense

Navy SEAL Derek Farley is struggling to create a new life after an injury sidelines his naval career and Remington Bolt sidelines their relationship. Though Derek is damaged goods, he’s also determined to fix his life with a little help from his friends.

I’m always a pushover for a wounded warrior story. This short but intense story was filled with emotion, feelings of betrayal and redemption. Amazing how you can fit all that in just a little over two hours! Author Sharon Hamilton is genius and narrator JD Hart brings it all together.

Too much melodrama for me.

If you enjoy a spicy SEAL romance, this is the series for you. Author Sharon Hamilton portrays a relevant and plausible storyline about the personal struggles of a former SEAL who needed professional counseling after being injured in the line of duty. When Derek walks into a bar in St. Helena he's shocked to encounter his former lover who cheated on him after she abandoned him when he needed her the most. Kudos to narrator J. D. Hart who delivers a good performance. Because of connected characters and storylines I would recommend listening to this series in order for a more enjoyable experience, though the overly melodramatic storyline was too much melodrama for me.
