This was a good read

Although spends the first twenty something years living as someone else. She is rescued by her uncle and comes to live and work with a man who's son has epilepsy. Her dog knows what to do to keep the boy safe and convinces his grandfather who is actually the heroine's father that the dog should stay in the house with him. Her faith in god and belief that there is good in everyone comes in handy on many occasions when she is attacked by people who don't want her father to know who she is. The story has a lot of twists and turns but they are not so twisted that you can't follow the story. This is worth the credit if you want a good story to listen to on a long drive or a rainy day.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review via audiobook boom.

Adeline, shipwrecked along the rugged coast of California at age two, and rescued by the lightkeeper and his wife, never remembered her past . . . except for the recurring nightmares of the raging storm and waters swallowing her up . . . now 23 years later, grown into a woman, Addie is approached by a man who tells her that the lightkeepers were not her real parents . . . is everything she believed a lie? With her beloved father now dead, and only Abbie and her spiteful mother left tending the lighthouse, Abbie decides to go with the man who calls himself her uncle . . . to find out if she really is the long lost daughter of the rich man he has told her about . . Thus begins a journey of discovery, pain, disillusionment and an ushering into a world that Abbie never knew existed . . . but true to herself, Abbie's spunk and deep conviction do not fail her . . . and neither does her God . . . always hoping, always trying to see the best in others, Abbie faces down the truth of what life has given her, without an ounce of self pity . . . clinging hard to that which is good and right, and pressing forward . . . Colleen Coble is an excellent writer . . . the story is not predictable, it is full of surprises, up until the very end. Don't miss it . . . I am moving on to the next in the series.
