Legal Briefs...sizzlingly sexy

Would you consider the audio edition of Legal Briefs to be better than the print version?

I actually read this book before I listed to the audio version and think that the narrator Tavia Gilbert has done a brilliant job in bringing the story and the characters to life. I found myself absorbed into the world created by the Lawyers in Love series as I listened to the audio book. I would highly recommend both the audio and print version of this book and look forward to listening to more in this series in the future.

What other book might you compare Legal Briefs to and why?

Lawyers in Love series by N M Silber, I really recommend reading / listening to the other books in the series.

Have you listened to any of Tavia Gilbert’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Tavia Gilbers performance of Legal Briefs, The Law of Attraction and The Home Court Advantage is brilliant. She really brings the books to life, I enjoy the pace she reads at and the tone of her voice. I look forward to her reading the other books in the series in the future.

Any additional comments?

N.M. Silber did it again, this book is brilliant. I loved the first two books in the Lawyers in Love series but Legal Briefs just took the series to a whole new level. The book focuses on the Lily Adler and Adam Roth whose chemistry is sizzling sexy. I really enjoyed Lily and Adam’s witty banter, bickering, sweet and funny moments. I was completely emotionally wrapped up in Adam and Lily's romance. I have to admit that Legal Briefs, the third instalment in the Lawyers in Love series, is my favourite so far, I didn't want this book to end and I hope the author writes more of this couple. I recommend getting this series; it's hot, sexy and good fun.

Funny and smart romance.

Lily Adler, Law librarien and author and Adam Roth, Assistant District Attorney are surrounded by friends falling in love and their childhood feud that have spild into adulthood is getting old, and has become something like a bad habit.
Anyway Lily is having a hard time keeping her hands and fantasies of the sexy Adam, he is not much better off.
With the unsolicited help from their coupled friends and the GBF they finally break the ice and then there is no going back.
Like N. M. Silber's other books the tempo and the dialog is snappy and smart.
She deals with intelligente heroines and heros, who comes to live on the page, and could be your neighbor or your favorit friend.
This book contains some of my favorit elements from romance novels.
There is the drunk heroine scene, the strange but some how hillariously endearing neighbors, the dysfunctional families and a good mystery.
Now, let me confess, that I read this book last year, loved it, but didn't get around to review it.
That changed when I got my crabby hands on the audiobook.
The story is still top notch, but add the narrativ talent of Tavia Gilbert and whoa you got a winner.
Tavia Gilbert brings the book to live and I don't mind admitting that, hearing her read, no scratch that, preform this book made me blush at times.
The sexy times is hot on paper, but dear lord when Tavia preforms them, you feel like you have direct access to Lily's mind and emotions.

Great Humor, Lacked Plot

I enjoyed this author's sense of humor; the part when law librarian Lily (26) and lawyer Adam (28)attempted to change his nephew's diaper was laugh out loud funny. I wish N.M. Silber had spent more time developing the various characters along with the plot and less time on redundant sex scenes.

While Lily and Adam's romantic relationship was basically healthy and non-violent, I didn't connect with these 2 people who had been acquaintances since preschool, yet didn't seem to understand each other. I also didn't understand Lily's decision not to practice law or her part-time career as an erotic writer, considering her age and lack of sexual experience.

I hope the author writes another series about older, more mature people - she has great potential. Tavia Gilbert usually does a good job with narration but unfortunately she did a creepy, exaggerated voice for the erotic scenes. Yuck!

This book was awsome. It was funny and suspenseful. The person who did the voice did a very good job. Of all the books I have listened to, she was by far the best.
