Love is just around the corner . . .

Sweet, shy Mara Hanover is in love with her neighbor. For four years, she has secretly watched her dream man from afar. Handsome police detective Mitch Lawson is way out of her league. She's a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, and there's no way a guy like Mitch would want anything to do with her. But when Mara has a leaky faucet that she can't fix, it's Mitch who comes to her rescue.

Mitch has been eyeing his beautiful neighbor for a long time. He jumps at the chance to help her, and soon their formerly platonic relationship gets very hot and heavy. But when Mara gets a disturbing phone call from her cousin's kids, she gets pulled back into the life she's tried so hard to leave behind. Can the hot law man convince Mara to let go of her past-and build a future with him? (Dream Man Series, Book 3)

Law Man is another Kristen Ashley winner!

Awesome, witty, sweet, exciting, sexy, sexy, sexy… Law Man, the third book in the Dream Man series is all kinds of greatness! Mara & Mitch live in the same apartment complex. They have each been crushing on each other secretly for the past 4 years but for various reasons have never acted on them. When, one day, Mara suddenly gets a desperate call from her dead beat cousin’s two little children, Billie (girl) and Billy (boy), saying that they ran away from their home and need her help, she runs off to rescue them and Mitch comes with her. Mara suddenly ends up with custody of them and Mitch is willing to do everything in his power to help her and the kids. Serious drama ensues involving the Russian mob, druggie trailer trash, custody battles, family issues, as well as a swoon-worthy romance, a whole lot of healing, and the heart-warming building of a beautiful, if unconventional, family unit held together by a whole lot of love and earned trust. I adored all the characters in this book especially swoon worthy Mitch who has stolen my heart!! Seriously hot, family oriented, loving, drool-worhty badass Alpha cop. This book is by far one of my favorite Kristen Ashley books. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Of course I would recommend the entire series as it is so good. A must buy!!

5 Law Man Stars

Ok I can’t help but root for the shy girls; I am the shy girl so I totally get all the thoughts.
Mara is soooooooo sweet omg she couldn't be any better for Mitch or Mitch for her.

I love that she might be shy but when it counts she is a Tigress, her cousin’s kids Billy and Billie very much needed her and she very much needed them.
I loveeeeeeee this book, I love again when the couple are older, but also when kids are involved. It just makes a great romance story for me that much more.

Mitch total dream boat, I verrrry much enjoyed how he was with Mara she was the soft spoken don’t make a fuss and Mitch is all about speaking his mind and making a fuss when needed. Very much yin to her yang, best romances ever.

I kind of like how all commandos, police and the motorcycle club came together in this one. We also get a little bit of the hot bunch and the rock chicks.. :)

Fabulous narration again, knocked it out of the park I am a fan.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

MAN OH MAN I JUST LOVE THIS AWESOME SERIES

An intense, heartwarming, emotional romance with loveable characters, a plot that's full of drama, humor and suspense but it also has it's sad and, thankfully, happy times too.

Then there's the handsome, thoughtful, sexy Alpha hero, Mitch and a likeable heroine, Mara, and together they try to overcome a lot of psychological baggage to move their budding tender, touching and eventually, sexy and passionate romance along. Whilst willing to move heaven and earth to provide, and keep, their safe family unit together for 2 young emotionally fraught children and cope with dislikable family members and endure, then finally overcome, the threats they bring with them.

Worth a credit? Yet again KA has delivered a very enjoyable magical listen that grabs you, keeps you riveted as the story beautifully unfolds and then leaves you crying after a feel-good epilogue. A worthy addition to any romance lover's Library - so YES very creditworthy and I'm eagerly, no scratch that, DESPERATELY waiting for the next instalment.

Just Ok

I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan and read reviews of this book before I purchased the audio version. The reviews were mixed and I can understand why now that I've listened to the book. The writing is very similar to Mystery Man and Wild Man and I was very excited to hear Mitch's story. I would have fallen in love with this book if Mara had been a stronger character. I got tired of the second guessing and the way she kept going on and on about how she wasn't good enough for Mitch. That killed the story for me and I found myself forwarding through many sections.

Law Man is definitely a “Ten Point Five” listen

I’ve been waiting for Detective Mitch Lawson’s story ever since he first appeared in Mystery Man. Wow! He is one super amazing, extremely hot, all around good guy. *sigh* Turns out he’s interested in his neighbor, Mara, the shy, low self-esteemed, beautiful but super sweet girl next-door. Together they make a really nice couple that you can’t help but want to see have their HEA.

I loved this book. It had everything I’ve come to expect in a Kristen Ashley story. Romance, sassy heroine, sexy alpha males, great characters, action and very funny dialogue. Every scene with the “trailer trash twins” had my laughing out loud! That is some batsh*t crazy family!

I love KA and her unique writing style. Add to it Kate Russell’s narration and you have another winner in the Dream Man Series. Now I can’t wait until Motorcycle Man.

5 Stars!

Sexy Lawman Stakes His Claim!!! Yum Yum...

What made the experience of listening to Law Man the most enjoyable?

I liked the sweetness of the story. I felt for Mara and her insecurities and her battle to be strong and fit in. Her courage is highlighted in the story.

What other book might you compare Law Man to and why?

I can't compare other books because I' ve always felt that wasn't fair to the author. I will say I enjoy this type of contemporary romance. I've recently purchased and enjoyed books by Katy Evans, Abbi Glines, J.Kenner, and Christina Lauren.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I think Kate Russell is great when she doesn't try so hard to animate the male voices. The first book in the series 'Mystery Man' she did a WONDERFUL job. But the rest of the series she ruins the sex appeal of the hero when she tries to create a tough guy persona, it ends up sounding pretty silly. I had to read Motorcycle man and Wild man of this series on EBook because she really ruined the narration for me. The key to a male narration of voices for a woman is to stick to what's more natural not forced. It's extremely distracting.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I enjoyed this book immensely from start to finish. With exception to the overly animated male voice.

Any additional comments?

I hope the series continues and I hope that Audible will take the suggestion of the customers when they give their feedback on Narrators. Because I'm really starting to tire of wasted credits on annoying performances to a good book.

It'd be a good if She isn't overcome annoying

Any additional comments?

It is a good interesting story, But Mara annoyed the crap out of me and She had serious self esteem issues and as you read the book. Seriously, I lost count of how many of her sentences when she thinks about Mitch were just "2.5 me and 10.5 Mitch" God..

Great addition to the series!! Loved it! :D

4.5-5 stars

This is a great book. Mitch is awesome and has been from the first book in the series. It's great to see him get his girl and Mara is great once she lets him in. :D

Mara is a sweetheart and all her friends love her. The problem is that she has a skewed view of herself (thinks she's a 2.5 on a scale of 1-10) that she's had since she was growing up. Because of this she's painfully shy and, although she's crushed on Mitch when she'd see him around the apartment building, she always avoided Mitch because of this. She's scared of allowing herself to consider she could have anything with Mitch because she thinks he's a 10.5 (on a scale of 1-10) and she couldn't possibly risk her heart on such a foolhardy prospect...so she avoids him. Things change when she has a plumbing issue and Mitch ends up helping her out.

Mitch is a great guy. He's been interested in Mara for a while but never was able to get an opening to get to know her better. When he hears about a plumbing issue she has he offers to help and starts trying to get dates with her. Things don't go smoothly at first. Firstly because of her self-image problems that restrict her from seriously considering he might actually want her. Then as he's starting to try to get past that she ends up having to save her cousins when he happens to be with her. This ends up changing all their lives greatly.

Mara loves her cousins and has tried to look out for them. Their father gets in to trouble and she takes custody of the kids unexpectedly. Mitch wants to help but she tries to keep him at arms length. Being a new mom of 2 kids isn't easy and Mara is trying to tough it out but finally Mitch manages to get her to let him help. Then he manages to get through her walls and get her to work with him in their relationship as well as raising the kids.

After this things go as smoothly as can be expected. There are some issues with Mara's estranged mother and great-aunt trying to take the 2 kids away from her and other ongoing issues. This freaks Mara out because Mitch gets to see the background she came from but it ends up being a good thing because he sees how strong she was to leave that behind and make a good life for herself. It was pretty cool seeing them build their relationship as well as a family together. Mitch fell for the kids as much as he did Mara and made sure they knew it. The story is very strong emotionally and I found myself tearing up multiple times.

This is a great story. I really enjoyed it and loved Mitch and Mara. Mitch totally lives up to the name he gets in Motorcycle Man, Big Hearted Mitch. Obviously, I've already read the next in the series but I love it so I'll be rereading it. This story was very worth the read. I'd recommend it. 2 thumbs up! :D

12/22 - The review above is from when I read the Kindle version of the book. I just did a reread by listening to this in audiobook format. This is still a great book and it did great in audio. The narrator did a very good job on this. :D

Good, but Not the Best of the Series!

While I love Kristen Ashley's "Dream Man" Series, this was my least favorite one. Only because I caught myself wanting to scream many times at Mara's insecurities and second guessing herself and situations. It was truly frustrating.

Mitch's character was great. I absolutely loved the part when he had a "man-to-man / father-to-son" talk with Billy aka Bud. It was truly touching. All the supporting characters were fantastic. My personal favorite is Alvira. She is a hoot at all times.

I am anticipating listening to Motorcycle Man next.

My favorite in the series

Sweet, funny insecure girl whose stronger than she knows meets alpha guy who shows her just how strong she really is. Um yeah it's totally worth the credit!
