Simon and Caroline are back for another round of baking, banging, and big life changes. Settling in, but never settling down, Caroline has finally struck a balance between the professional and the personal. As one of the top interior designers in San Francisco, she travels all over Northern California between nook time with Simon.
Perpetual globetrotter Simon has cut his frequent flyer miles in half over the last year, preferring to balance his professional and personal life, as well.
The next step in their lives seems preordained - toasts, veils, and the aisle of rose petals. But when an accident on a photo shoot in Southeast Asia brings Caroline the most terrifying phone call she could ever imagine, she has to ask whether "till death do us part" is a more realistic prospect than faces most couples.
It's been a grand adventure, and Caroline and Simon wouldn't go out without the best surprise ending ever. One part sexy, one part laughter, a dash of exotic locales, and one pink nightie, mixed with passion, and you've got Last Call. Served with a side of Clive.

Loved Every Minute of S & C to the End!
Joy, Fear, Hope, Sweet Sweet Simon and Caroline - these two are the ultimate couple, who manage to take life by the horns and LIVE IT!
I loved this series, specifically Wallbanger, Rusty Nailed and Last Call...when i read Wallbanger, I thought kind of silly, and yet laugh out loud funny - and ultimately sexy. The series is not gratuitous though the title suggests it - I have not read the other two, but these three books together, are amazing..an excellent trilogy. They may not be exciting for some, but they are funny, not absurdly so, I felt like we were taking some pages from the lives of true friends and you can see Sophie and Neal and Ryan and Mimi in your friends - through this series. No, no-one almost dies, no-evil plot is happening to take over one person with a sordid past, and yet you find yourself drawn in and flowing along the River that is the Simon and Caroline relationship. Both of them were living their lives until suddenly, the one they didn't "know" they were waiting for showed up. Simon and Caroline are a beautiful endearing couple. When there is a misunderstanding they work it out. Read these three books of this series, in order and Listen to them, while I thought this narrator was a little old sounding for this character, i grew to like her and her enthusiasm and I loved Caroline and Simon, they were sweet, flawed, loyal and beautiful - and Clive (the cat) was just a bonus - a really enjoyable bonus and I love how Simon falls in love with him and assumes he is part of his family and talks to him. So glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews on Rusty Nailed saying it was boring. For me these characters and their stories were anything but..and there was no more sex in Rusty Nailed than any other book and less than many. I have listened to so many series and this one was light, refreshing tender humanity - Don't Miss these three books of this series!!...either in the reading or the listening. It kind of evolved into a really fine wine.

Last but Not Least
I absolutely adore the writing of Alice Clayton. In my opinion, she cannot write a bad story and Last Call is no different. This last book in the series is just as funny, charming, sweet and sexy as all the rest. And again, the high quality narration enhanced an already good story.

What a fantastic way to finish a series. I am hoping it doesn't finish, I will live in hope.
Alice Clayton does it again and again with this series. Every book is just as good as the first one.
Last call brings everybody back together for one last story. Everybody from all 4 books is here and of course an epilogue from Clive.
Fantastic book and a fantastic series which I would recommend!!!
