Publisher's Summary

Lady Emma Wells-Finch, the oh-so-proper headmistress of England's St. Gertrude School for Girls, comes to Texas on a mission: she has two weeks to ruin her reputation. The only thing that will save her from losing everything she holds dear is complete and utter disgrace. World famous playboy-athlete Kenny Traveler has been blackmailed into chauffeuring Lady Emma around. Suspended from the sport he loves, he needs to prove himself completely respectable to get back into the game. And when a gorgeous man who can't afford another scandal meets a hardheaded woman who's determined to cause one, anything can happen...even love.

What the Critics Say

"Well written, funny, sexy, and altogether satisfying." (Publishers Weekly)
"[A] lively, well-written story. Phillips combines an unexpected premise with warm, appealing characters, and overlays it all with her zingy trademark humor and well-developed sense of the ridiculous." (Library Journal)

After listening to this book, I started searching for another by the the same author. Anna Fields is one of my favorite narrators. I truly enjoyed this book.

Another great book by SEP

SEP is the best in the romantic comedy genre. I have listened to all her books and they are excellent (except for Fancy Pants). Her plot is laugh out loud funny, her characters are very likeable, and her stories are heartwarming and full of humor. This book is the story of Francesca's friend (from Fancy Pants) Lady Emma and Dallas Beaudine's protege Ken Traveler. It is hilarious!! Adding to the writing genius of SEP, you have the best female narrator in the business, Kate Fleming/Anna Fields who had tragically died in 2006 after working on Natural Born Charmer (another great SEP). What a loss to the literary world. I really miss her. Get this book and every other book by Mrs Phillips. There is no comparison to her talent.
