Yes

Yes yes yes and yes. And yes. So hot and angsty. Erotic narration requires so much inflection and grit. This is perfection. Audible why do you not have more Pam Godwin books available. Straight up pissed at audible. I knew I liked her work but her unfailing consistency makes her my favorite author. Bar none.

Great book

Awesome book! Really enjoyed the love story and the whole mystery of everything. I love this author. And the narration was impeccable!

Knotted

I must say that this is the was a hard book to read and listen to, I shed tears it never gave up because i know this book was worth it in the end. I’m not going to lie this book is full of emotions and can be anyone’s life. I was so drawn to the characters and their bond with each other. They looked after each other even when it didn’t seem that way. I must admit that Jake, Jarret and Lorne took care of business in a way that was fitting. I’m looking forward to when they will all be as one again. For now I Jake is incredible he is a fighter and will go to hell and back to protect Connor, even from her own demons. As for Connor herself, she is a fighter in her own right and her love is strong for Jake and her family ( Jarret and Lorne). Together the both of them share a love that goes so deep no one can break their bond.

Wow! what an emotional journey

Pam does it again! This was a story of young love destroyed by the brutal ugliness of the world. Their lives shattered and torn apart. Years lost, family torn at the seams. The journey to healing, acceptance, revenge, justice and a love reborn. This book contains triggers but it just so awesome, I will be reading it again. Tad Branson absolutely KILLED it. His performance was so passionate and moving. oh my goodness!

Oh My Pam Godwin!

Pam Godwin is a god(ess) among authors. I wish Audible and Oh My Audiobooks would offer all of her books - each one is amazing in its own way. The sheer depth of emotion she is able to convey in her characters makes her virtually without equal. Her ability to describe the nuance of each character's experiences is spellbinding - from agony to ecstasy. And yes, she most certainly excels with the 'ecstasy' parts (wink, wink).

Very Intense

The middle to end of this book almost make up for the gruesome abuse the heroine endures in the first half but there are some scenes (one in particular) that were incredibly hard to get through.

I loved how strong Conner was! I wonder if there really is love that powerful? Good book!

🔥 RAW, EMOTIONAL AND POWERFUL 🔥

This will grab you from the beginning with two young people in love with families in opposition. Then the darkness suddenly hits with triggers here... but that’s what you find in a dark romance. Jake and Conor are separated for years. Their reunion is not sweet. It’s not warm and fuzzy, and I have to admit to being a bit angry with Jake, but I get it. No spoilers but it’s a well written, gritty and sexy listen.

Tad Branson is one of my favorite male narrators. He’s a professional, hands-down. I prefer male narrators in romance novels because it’s hard for me to feel the heat listening to a woman trying to sound like a man.

Savannah Peachwood has a one-of-a-kind voice that I love. She may not be right for every book but she nailed it here. It’s young, breathy and maybe wispy... real.

Intense

This was the most emotional rollercoaster book I’ve ever listened too. I am NOT a crier but dang. There is a scene where Jake has her write in a journal that was so heartbreaking but loving and warm all at once. I’m glad that the drama wasn’t super over the top. I will NEVER forget this story.

A dark realistic story

Really enjoyed this dark yet realistic story. Jake and Connors story was heart wrenching yet they got through one of the worst things that can happen to a couple. Very few ever overcome such hardship in real life. I admit it was hard not to cry during those chapters which can cause a trigger in some readers. This type of dark romance story isn't for everyone. The performance by the narrators made you feel right there in the story. The feelings and emotion came right through. I've never read this author before and I do look forward to the remainder of the trilogy.
