Publisher's summary

Lust and love collide. And it's a mess.

Victoria Nicholson

Heiress Victoria is about to embark on a world tour marketing her new advice book for lesbians. The public demands to meet her socially reclusive girlfriend, the woman of Victoria's inspiration.

Too bad the girlfriend leaves her. For another woman. (In an RV....)

Victoria's broken heart only sees two options: cancel the tour, or go alone. Her publisher, however, demands a woman on her arm.

Any. Woman.

Madison Ricci

When Madison's boss at the escort agency sets her up with Victoria, she leaves out one little thing.

Namely, that Madison's new client is a woman!

Madison has never been with a woman before. But two weeks together forces her to choose between a tenuous love with a woman on the verge of a heartbroken breakdown, or taking her career to the ultimate level.

One kisses. The other tells.

Victoria is willing to have a rebound. Madison is willing to court a new client. Both are going to have to massively compromise if they want to bring their hot fling back to America.

It ain't gonna be easy!

Slooooow

This seems to be a popular book among listeners; I wish I'd gotten as much from it as they did. For me it was just a slow, dreadfully slow story that could have been so much better. Her previous Audible book; Stay Here Tonight was a very good novella at about three and a half hours and this one should have been condensed to no more than 5 or 6 hours. One example; thirty minutes of buildup a prelude to 2 women, not having sex.

Pretty Woman meets Woman

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Would recommend. Not the typical girl meets girl story; in this case, girl pays for girl. Good main characters and definitely steamy!

If you’ve listened to books by Hildred Billings and Cynthia Dane before, how does this one compare?

This is my first from these authors. Could definitely tell it was written by two people. Some chapters dragged on with more-than-required detail and superfluous dialogue, while others were shorter, to the point, more exciting, fast paced. The epilogue...totally unnecessary, wordy, and went nowhere. Sometimes it's OK to just give or imply the "happy" ending and leave the rest to the reader's imagination. This one tried to fill in all the gaps, answer all potential questions, and for me - spoiled it. I much preferred the way I envisioned their future. The epilogue felt like an attempt to appease every reader's personal viewpoints on the subject matter.

What three words best describe Stephanie Murphy’s voice?

Sometimes it was hard to distinguish which of the main characters was speaking. Especially difficult was knowing which was the characters "thoughts" vs "speaking". And if she said "excccuuuuuuseeee me" one more time.....

Any additional comments?

Worth a listen!

Cute story with some issues

A bit too much "thinking" made it difficult to tell the difference between what was said out loud and what wasn't. Narrator was good, but the voices weren't differentiated enough for my taste either. The conflict the characters had to deal with was sort of realistic...but I felt like the solution was a cop-out. So overall, I enjoyed the story, but I'm disappointed with the ending.

A heterosexual man who love bi and lesbian women

I loved the story and I cheered for Madison’s open heart to realizing her bisexual passion. I’m only disappointed that the treatment of men who both love and appreciate bi and lesbian women isn’t embraced.

just fine

the performance makes pretty flimsy dialogue even moreso. “steamy” af when it’s supposed to be. story is fine. love these authors normalization of sex work. leaves a bit to be desired.

Love on the Rebound

Victoria’s book tour was scheduled and her lesbian relationship book was off with a bang. Only one problem, her girlfriend had left her without warning. Her publisher demands a woman on her arm so hires an escort to pretend to be her girlfriend. An erotic romance story and great performance. Recommend.

EXCITING!

i've only recently discovered Hildred Billings. This is the 2nd of her books that I've read. Her style was a bit rough to me initially, but I like it. And I really enjoyed this book. This is the first adult audio book I've ever heard. I was pretty excited to listen to it. I have to say, it was tastefully done. I can't wait to get more of Billings' work.

Interesting!

Overall, i enjoyed this book! I found it very interesting and somewhat whimsical. The characters were different but still enjoyable. I liked the push and pull between the two. The narrator did a good job as well, having a good range of voices. Overall, good book.
