This average book might have been elevated to bearable if it had been narrated by Davina Porter or Susan Erikson was made completely unbearable by this narrator. I cannot believe she is paid for this work.

This book is a beautiful, well-written and colorful story with such dynamic descriptions of the Irish countryside that you truly feel like you're there. Unfortunately, the narrator is not quite as appealing. The first few hours of this book are almost painful to listen to, but she does improve and the other two books in the trilogy are much better. Hang in there, and it's worth it!

loved the story. Well told, read with expression and interest. great story. waiting to hear the next book.
This is a typical Nora Roberts novel. Exactly what you'd expect. Only one irritating thing; Irish people don't speak Gaelic, we speak Irish.
The really annoying bit was the narration. The "Irish" accents were horrendous. I have never heard an Irish person that sounded anything like this. It was actually painful.
Also, she manages to mispronounce every single Irish word.
I won't be getting the next two instalments because I can't stand this woman's narration.
