Love, Love Love Jane and Caleb

I keep searching, because every once in an author surprises me. Ryan Winfield did just that. and...Janes Melody is such a book. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you will share in the pain, beauty and joy of these two. Ryan does a great job of addressing the angst surrounding older women dating younger men... it seems society may never grow up - or lose it's sexist stance. My only, only critique of this book is the rather hurried ending. They say men can't write romance! Ryan does it better, he writes real life, heartbreak and the courage to overcome these obstacles and his surrounding characters jump off the page... I own the ebook version and now the audible. I can't say enough about the value of having both versions of "treasured" books. Jane's Melody is one of my treasures. The Audible version added dimensions I thought not possible to the original book, which is beautifully written. The narrator starts out somewhat stilted, but soon finds a comfortable rhythm. I was not disappointed and I'll keep this and listen again and again over the years.

AMAZING AND HEART WARMING!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Most definitely! I would recommend this book to my family, friends, neighbors, and strangers I pass by on the street. There is something for everyone in this book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Jane's Melody?

There were too many to mention. This story addresses so many issues that regular people face every day and is so believable. The story takes hold and its near impossible to break away. Be prepared to laugh, cry, feel anger, and heart break. I can't say enough good about this book.

What does Emily Beresford bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does great with character voices and emotion. I felt like she transported me through this journey of emotions so well that I could almost visualize the story much like a movie in my minds eye. She is a skilled narrator.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were several moments that moved me throughout the story. It was personal to me relating to the daughter and addiction because I almost lost my own several times due to drug over doses. This story addresses deep personal loss as well as self actualization and ultimately the pursuit of happiness oh and the romance is sweet and emotional too.

Any additional comments?

Ryan Winfield is a gifted writer with the literary skill that allows the reader to escape the bonds of this tortured society and be carried away to another time and place. Its almost like being a voyeur in someone's life. Its like the reader is there watching the events unfold. This book is worth a credit or to just purchase outright. It will be one I listen to over and over (as much as my heart can take it) I just cant say enough good stuff about this book. I have to work in two hours but could not stop listening and felt the need to post a review because I feel it is important to let the world know that this is a book worth listening to.
