Jake Louviere is a sarcastic alpha wolf who meets a strange woman whom he can't get a read on. Kai is a new creature that is brought to us by Kym Grosso. Kai is strong but she needs help but she doesn't trust anyone because she has a secret (no spoiler) that could be the end of her. Kai's sister Shalan is missing and she needs help to find her. Enter Quintus and ancient vampire ( who will give you and Jake fits of laughter) who is sarcastic and does things normal vamps don't but she needs him and Jake to help her. The trio manage to work together for the good. This book is exquisitely written with amazing steamy sex scenes. Do not miss this book.

I really struggled to finish this book in numerous ways. What a disapointment!. Beware contains numerous bad sex scenes.
Where was the story?. Buried between the sheets and the trash receptacle? The dialog for the Heroine was mostly "what?". Or "Wa?" For the hero, instead of who's your daddy?! it was," who is your master?"" Who is your Alpha?" And then repeat.. plus the heroine echoing the statement of "you are my master." " You are my Alpha!"
I don't fault the Narrator ,who most likely, had a hard time getting through this book as well perhaps..! it may be the worst book I have ever listened to on audio.
Character development. Character interaction was where? The Author pushed the reader out instead of pulling the reader in.
There wasn't any of the chemistry that creates empathy or sympathy. where was the Authors bff? It was her duty to read this and at least try to stop the Author from this train wreck.
Up until the end of the book there wasn't any emotional connection to the two main characters.. I won't even call it animalistic, as I don't want to insult any animals. Basically I could not relate I was lost in this book, and not in a good way. I felt this experiance was a nightmare.
I keep wondering, what was this author thinking? I have actually read other books from this author and I can only say just wow I am so disappointed. this is not credit Worthy and I plan to return it as soon as possible.
This Author is capable of much more than cold smut.

my biggest concern with this was the over use of the phrase "he/she lost his/her words". There are other ways of saying the same thing.
Otherwise, I loved it and look forward to the next
