Publisher's summary

Single mother Jade Miller has just witnessed a murder. Now, set to testify against the cold-blooded killer, Jade must be placed under protection. While she is grateful to the kind folks who've offered to take in her and her son, Jade is surprised to find the man escorting them from L.A. to Montana is Gavin Emerson: a womanizing, far-too-attractive-for-his-own-good rebel cowboy. Jade assures Gavin that she has sworn off men until her son is grown, but all too soon she finds herself fighting back feelings for the man who's agreed to care for them.

Gavin wants nothing to do with ranch life, not since the ugly fallout he had with his father over eight years ago. But when he agrees to come back, harboring Jade and her son for a time, Gavin falls in love with life on the land once again. Above that, he finds his heart has been captured by his lovely house guest, Jade Miller.

After reservations on both parts, the two are finally ready to open up and give their new-found love a try. Only they aren't in the clear just yet. And as a dark and deadly threat falls upon them, Gavin finds that his bad-boy past may have led the danger right to their door.

Loved It!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book, wonderful story and the narrator is great and very easy to listen to. Jade Miller is a single mother and just witnessed a murder. They are placing her in protective custody until the trial when she has to testify against the killer. One of the men escorting her is Gavin Emerson who is also a sexy cowboy. Gavin has not been to his family's farm in over eight years. Neither one of them is looking for a relationship but the more time they spend together they might change their minds. Once I started listening to this book I didn't want to stop until it was over. If you are looking for a great romance with mystery and suspense, then you need to get this book. I am looking forward to the listening to the next book in this series.

Book Two was Just as Good as Book One.

What did you love best about Jade's Cowboy Crush?

It was warming to see Jade and Gavin open up and fall for one another throughout the book. There are a few scenes that I simply won't be able to get out of my head.

What other book might you compare Jade's Cowboy Crush to and why?

I would compare it to "Reese's Cowboy Kiss" because it was the first novel in the series. It had many similar aspects, but was still refreshingly different.

What about Lesley Ann Fogle’s performance did you like?

First off, she was excellent and enjoyable as always. Secondly, I must say her dialects/accents still added a great deal of authenticity.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely.
Once I started, I couldn't let it go.

Any additional comments?

"Jade's Cowboy Crush" was a wonderful addition to the "Sweet Montana Bride" series. If you loved the first, you'll definitely love the second.

A wonderful western romance novel!!

What made the experience of listening to Jade's Cowboy Crush the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the touching story and the strong influence of family love and respect among the characters. I liked the way the story is written. It is well thought out and moves well, evoking a variety of emotions. The love scenes are sweet and tender but with strong emotion without being vulgar or offensive.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Gavin is my favorite character because of the way he matures as the story unfolds. I particularly enjoyed the way he bonded with the little boy, Luke, and came to treat him as he would his own son. I also liked the way he and his father reconciled their differences.

What about Lesley Ann Fogle’s performance did you like?

I liked the way Ms. Fogle was able to produce the different accents and voices for the many characters in the story. Her narration flowed well and her voice inflections accurately produced the emotion, mood and feelings the author intended. Ms. Fogle is a very talented narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Ms. Krey was able to evoke many emotions for me in the story. I found myself laughing out loud at times and welling up with emotion at other times. The scene at the end where Jade was abducted was very tense and descriptive.

Any additional comments?

Ms. Krey is a very talented writer and story teller. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well written romance novel.

Gavin's quite a hunk...he's met his match in Jade!

What did you love best about Jade's Cowboy Crush?

I know I say each of these books is great...and they are. Each earns its greatness for a different reason. I love the whole "bad boy turns good because of a spunky woman" aspect of this book. The story is rich and quite well done.

What other book might you compare Jade's Cowboy Crush to and why?

Either of the other two books in this series, Reese's Cowboy Kiss (#1) or Cassie's Cowboy Crave (#3), are amazing. They'll make more sense if you listen to them in order even though they are standalone books.

Have you listened to any of Lesley Ann Fogle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I quite enjoy Ms. Fogle's performance. She is quite talented and does an amazing job at coming up with different voices for the different characters. She is quite talented with doing the male leads. She's got their playful inflection down just right. Every one of her performances that I have listened to have been exceptional.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Ms. Krey's books contain humor and sadness, both. I laugh frequently at her stories, get really tense during crucial moments in the book, and even tear up on occasion. The book is well-rounded.

Any additional comments?

This author does some amazing stories. Combined with the wonderful narration that Ms. Fogle does, it's a real winning combination. This narrator has done all three books in this series.
