Publisher's summary

One look, and panties drop. One night, and they're ready to marry me.

Too bad I'm not interested in anything more than a taste.

Until I'm tempted by Little Miss Goody-Two-Shoes. She's a good girl, the kind I want to possess, dominate, ruin. No one's ever told me no, and I'm not about to let it stop me now.

She keeps pushing me away, even with her curvy body pressed against mine and those soft moans spilling from her lips. But I'm persistent. She doesn't stand a chance. And now that she's moved in next door, it's only a matter of time before I'll have her screaming my name.

She can try to run, but she's not getting away from the bad boy next door.

Inked is a full-length romance with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger.

How is this so highly rated?

The lead characters in this book are idiots. It’s like listening to early high school drama. They seriously act like teenagers. I can’t even count how many times I rolled my eyes. I couldn’t even finish listening to the book because I was so annoyed. I can literally count on one hand how many times I haven’t listened to an audiobook all the way through. Can’t do it.

LIKED THIS ONE BUT COULD HAVE LOVED IT

I loved the male narrator but HATED the female narrator. I could have really enjoyed it but I found my self wishing JF would start reading and tell the chick to shut up. And since he was so good I was forced to finish the book. I could take it or leave it.

I do not like Maddie

She is an insecure little girl. I do not like her attitude to the point that I stopped listening toward the end. I couldn't even finish the book.

So Good!!!

This book is written by Lauren Landish and Willow Winters, whom I read frequently, so needless to say I enjoy their writing style. There are unexpected twists and turns in this Duet Narration. Both JF Harding and Holly Chandler did a fantastic performance. I had read the book previously and found I enjoyed the audiobook more. The narrators bring a sense of urgency through their voices and emotions that are not conveyed as well on a page. I would definitely listen to this book again when I'm in the mood for some steam and more. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. I do not like to give away spoilers in my reviews, but I will let you know that this is a standalone book and it does not end in a cliffhanger. I found the ending quite fitting.

I couldn't even finish it.

I really tried to give this book a chance, and powered through several chapters, but just couldn't do it. The storyline already has holes and inconsistencies, and the main female and her bestie are bord insufferable. Can't do it. Throwing in the towel

Bad Boy / Good Girl

Bad boys have such a pill. These two authors pulled it off with a 5-star review. there is suspense, romance, lust, all wrapped in a fine package. I'll even go as far to admit that it pulled at my heartstrings at times. Very well written very well performed and extremely captivating

Got More Than I Expected

So somehow this was not what I expected. I’m not sure why. In re-reading the blurb for the book I wasn’t misled at all—the blurb describes the story I read. I guess I just expected a fairly shallow book based on that short description. What I got was anything but a shallow “bad-boy-chases-good-girl” read. Zane’s not really a bad boy. He’s um, technically a criminal. But really he’s just a good guy in a crappy situation that’s epically complicated. He’s also got a lot more going on emotionally and psychologically than the average “bad boy.”

Actually, the only thing shallow in this book may be Maddy, Zane’s love interest and the book’s “good girl.” She’s a bit whiny and indecisive. Yeah, she’s had a bad break-up and we know how that is, but she’s kind of the poster child for hanging onto those bad emotions. Maybe it’s just something I had a hard time relating to, but it did get a bit old for me.

Even with Maddy’s bad mojo, this was still a really enjoyable read for me. Zane and Maddy definitely have the chemistry going on, and the plot is a total page turner. The fact that the story was more in depth and the characters overall were deeper than I expected made this a great delight. The audiobook version is highly recommended as narrator J.F. Harding does an amazing 5-star job with the dirty-talking, panty-melting Zane.

Super sexy ink

Bad boy meets innocent girl That is just the beginning of the story. Add in the Russian mob an angry father and plenty of hot sex and you have a great read

Self preservation v. bad boy tattoo artist.

I accidentally read book two of the Bad Boys Next Door series first, but it doesn't seem to have been all that connected to this book, so I don't think that mattered.

Things between Madeline and Zane seem to get hot and heavily quite quickly (leading to several steamy scenes). I really didn't like Zane's behavior in the club at the beginning of the book and where he goes from wanting a one night thing to wanting a lasting relationship isn't exactly clear. I'm not sure if goodie two shoes is the best way to describe Madeline. I would put it more along the lines of just having a great sense of self preservation. Regardless, Zane's loose connection to the mob soon ends up putting Madeline in danger. When she discovers that he's associated with the mob, she's understandably upset. Even more so once Zane pushes her away in an effort to ensure her continued safety. When she's kidnapped, however, it's Zane who is most determined to find and save her. The book features a HEA ending with no cliffhanger.

Tatoo Artist Next Door!

Madeline and her friend Katie wind up in a bar one night when she sees Zane however she wants nothing to do with him as she is recovering from her unfaithful boyfriend. Zane owns a tattoo shop however his business is not as it appears.

When he realizes she is his neighbor he continues his pursuit and she gives in but when trouble comes calling will Zane be able to protect her so that they may have their happy ever after?

Steamy chemistry, suspense and good secondary characters made this an enjoyable story. I liked the narrators however I much preferred J.F. Harding.
