Publisher's Summary

Everyone loves Jack Holland, but Emmaline Neal needs him. Her ex-fiancé is getting married in Malibu and, obviously, she can't go to the wedding alone. In Manningsport, New York, tall, blond, and gorgeous Jack Holland is practically a cottage industry when it comes to rescuing desperate women. He knows the drill, Em figures, so he won't get the wrong idea.
What Jack needs is an excuse to leave town. Ever since rescuing four teenagers from a car wreck, he's been hailed as a hero and the attention is making him itchy, especially since his too-pretty ex-wife is back, angling for a reunion. He's always liked Emmaline. She needs a weekend date? No problem. So when they wind up in bed together, Em chalks it up to red wine and chocolate cake, just one impulsive night not to be repeated. But Jack's pushing for more, and if she lets down her guard, either she'll get her heart crushed again, or discover that Jack's worth more than just dreaming about.

LOVE this one yet!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love the Holland family, Blue Heron Winery and Manningsport....this particular book, although it includes some very sad scenes, in large part is laugh out loud funny. I'm hoping there will be another book or two or three.....Connor still needs someone, and so does Jessica.......just a thought.

What does Amy Rubinate bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amy Rubinate is AMAZING as narrator of this series. Although the books are a wonderful read, she adds life to the character and gives each character a uniqueness that would be missed otherwise.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

For the love of Blue Heron.

Body shaming. Making remarks about weight.

Wow, don’t know where to start. Why Emmaline would even consider being with someone who called her a bully and said she weighs 40lbs more. And did I mention he never apologized for saying that (weight)? Also she never got the chance to say why she put his ex in a cell. Let’s see..
1 she drove drunk
2. She threw a rock and broke the window.
3. She assaulted Emmaline who is a police officer.
Emmaline kept getting bullied about her weight remarks are made no one is sorry or there wasn’t a lesson to be taught. Shame on the Author to make it seem it’s ok to make fun of people weight.
