Publisher's summary

Neecy Lawrence, winged warrior for a Viking goddess and second-in-command of the fierce Crows, doesn't know what to do with a nice guy. As it is, making up for a past she'd sooner forget leaves her barely polite most days. But Raven leader and loyal Odin warrior, Will Yager, isn't just nice. He's gorgeous, hot, and a distraction she simply can't afford.

Yager has wanted Neecy in his life - and in his bed - for a long time. Not just for a night, but forever. And, like any self-respecting Viking, he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants. So what if she's the most difficult, complex, never-gives-him-a-break woman he's ever known? She's more than worth the effort. In fact, she's worth everything.

And if it turns out that 24 hours of non-stop, any-way-she-wants-it sex doesn't work with Neecy? Then it looks like he'll just have to get a little more creative.

Critic reviews

"The hilarity and the laughter that comes with a Shelly Laurenston book gets better and better with each story that I read from her. She is a master magician with her words and knows how to draw you into the story and have you laughing yourself silly in the first page that you read." ( Fallen Angels Reviews)

Shelly Laurenston fangirl.

Think I would have loved it better had it been another narrator. Charlotte Kane maybe

The narrator completely ruined it

Let me preface this by stating that I LOVE Shelly Laurenston. I've listened to the entire Pride series as well as Call of the Crows on Audible, and this is the FIRST of her books where the narrator completely ruined the entire book for me. Her inability to differentiate between characters and the fact that her male characters, especially the hero sounds like a nasely and weak, dork. Ugh!! It took me forever to get through this book, when normally I binge listen her books. And lets not even get started how the guy on the cover doesn't even match the description of what Will is supposed to look like *face palm*

Narrator aside, this was a decent continuation of Laurenston's Crow series. You have the wit and action of her feisty, kick @ss Crows and the signature humor that I love about Laurenston.

Loved the story

The storyy waa good and the characters totally different from the Crows on the west coast. My only problem was the narrator. All the women sounded the same. She kept loosing and switching accents. Outsude of that it is definitely a Laurenston classic. If you have ever read or listen to her stories you know she is a masterful story teller. Definitely worth a credit.

She's written better.

The characters were a bit flat, especially after being a fan of her shifter books.

This title is lacking the thing I loved about her other titles, a diverse cast of over the top personalities with clashing characters and psychological issues.

Finally, if the narrator had been replaced by a dining room chair the delivery might have been a little less wooden.

Gathering Fanatic

Wish there were more stories! Simply love Ms. Laurenston’s worlds, but especially the dragons. Will never get enough of them!

Just ok

Shelly laurenston is one of my go to authors for fun sexy reads. This one was just ok in my opinion. It is set in the same universe as a couple others about the crows and ravens from Norse mythology set in modern day. The others were more interesting and definitely more funny and kept my attention well. This one not so much. Honestly there were times I fell asleep and nothing much had happened and I didn't even bother to

I'm a fan! Good story and narrator

I hadn't heard Alexandra Shawnee before but I really like her! I love her voice and she had such a great mixture fun (the characters rocked) but made this story super absorbing. The story was very unique.

Great book, despite narration.

The narrator was horrible, but the story was so enjoyable she didn't ruin the book. She wasn't consistent with the voices she chose for the characters so it was hard to tell who was speaking at times. In some instances it was bad, I couldn't tell if it was a male or female and had to rewind to figure out who had spoken. I really like this series and hope the original narrator returns for the next book; or, at the very least someone more consistent that doesn't read every character like they're doing a bad impression of Joe Piscopo.

Just so it's clear, this is a scrapped series

Everyone keeps going on about how the Call of the Crows is a better series but this story is the reason that it exists. She did research wrote this and decided she wasn't happy with it. Laurenston wanted better for her fans and rewrote what is now the Crows series. The only reason this is an audio is because collector and completists asked for it.

I liked the story but I agree it was too similar to her shifter series to be called "new". Stop whining about how someone's older work isn't as good as the new stuff. That's a good thing. It meant the author grew! If you just want a fun time killer this is it.
