Who knew a bad boy could mend a broken heart?
What does a girl do after she discovers her fiancé is a cheating bastard?
In my case, I performed the ritual implosion of all scorned women. I drowned my sorrows in cases of white wine, wallowed in gallons of ice cream, and ignited a bonfire to burn away every damn remnant of his existence. Six months later, the only result was a permanent impression of my ass on the couch.
Adventure Dating, my friends dared. A new and exciting opportunity, they said.
I thought they were crazy, but I'm not one to back down from a challenge, so I signed up for the entire four-week deal.
That's where I saw him. Lucas Cummings. He isn't the classic rich boy I usually end up with. The one whose idea of working up a sweat is waiting for his margarita to be served beach-side. Nope. He's a rough and tough bad boy that all fathers warn their daughters about. You know the type. Cocky swagger, chiseled jaw - the "V".
Sold, I said to myself, until I discovered he was so much more than just a boxer.
Left hook. Right to the heart.
This is a sexy romantic comedy standalone book in the Modern Love world. You do not need to hear book one, The Bartender, in order to enjoy Hooked on the Boxer.

Even Better in Audio
Hooked on the Boxer might be my favorite Piper Rayne book which is hard to say because they are all good. I loved it the first time I read it but hearing it in audio has made me love it even more.
Molly Mermelstein does a fantastic job once again of capturing these characters and I really enjoyed listening to her voice. I can't wait to hear the next book!

A great listen!
I head read Hooked on the Boxer before but the audio book adds so much more to the story! This is Tahlia and Lucas' story. She broke up with her fiance Chase because he was cheating. Her friends, Lennon and Whitney decide to get her out of her rut and out of the house. They take her to a boxing match where she meets Lucas, the Boxer. Things don't go so smoothly after the fight when she gets sick from drinking so much because she was nervous. They meet again when Lennon and Whitney give her the gift of adventures in dating and Lucas happens to be filling in as the guide. They can't deny their attraction and things go on from there. I like the witty banter that Piper Rayne is known for. I think Molly Mermelstein does a wonderful job of narrating. This is well worth a credit in my opinion. I hope the rest of the books will be in audio, too!
