Publisher's summary

After ten years away, Marcie finally ventures back to where she grew up. She isn’t in town for twenty-four hours when she crosses paths with Hook and Striker, the two boys who kept her safe and happy as a young girl. Only they aren’t boys anymore. They are fully grown, muscular, alpha men. Members of the No Prisoners Motorcycle Club. All through her teenage years, Marcie’s heart belonged to Hook. Not that he ever seemed to notice. And it appears that as an adult, not much has changed with regard to her feelings toward the sexy biker. But a bossy, alpha man is not what independent Marcie is looking for. The moment Hook lays eyes on Marcie, it’s as though the last ten years apart never existed. Back when she was off limits, he wanted her, and it doesn’t take long before he realizes he still wants her. Marcie’s changed, though. She’s no longer a frightened teenager in need of a haven. Now she’s a beautiful, confident woman, and a bit too independent. Will Hook be able to convince Marcie a life with him wouldn’t stifle her freedom? Their relationship is tested when Marcie clings to her hard-won life and when an aspect of that life threatens not only their future together but their safety as well.

Hook and Marcie...sitting in a tree...

Quick, fast paced read. Marcie is back in her small home town to bury her mother...with a douchey boyfriend and a couple of his friends in tow. Too late, Marcie decides that she's had enough of the boyfriend, who is rapidly becoming abusive, and wants to break things off...but she decides to wait until they return to Seattle. She meets childhood friends, turned MC members, Stryker (Dillon) and Hook (TJ) at a bar and the bf gets jealous and possessive. Stryker and Hook were Marcie's protectors when they were kids and they will be her protectors now...although Hook's motives are different this time around. The chemistry between Hook and Marcie is palpable and we just know that trouble is in store. But the No Prisoners MC protect their own and Marcie is Hook's, so watch out douchey ex-bf! Lots of drama packed into this novella and everyone gets their just desserts! Now to catch up with the rest of the No Prisoners brothers...

Kinda hokey, but cute

This was a cute story but it was kinda hokey. The narrators did a good job though and I liked how the guy did the guy voices, and the girl did the girl voices.

Love the mix on this audio

Short simple to the point with some drama and steam

Hook (TJ) was the guy with the sexy accent and great body. Marcie was only in town to bury her mother. She was determined to do things for herself even take care of an annoying mean spirited, crazy ex. There was sizzling hot chemistry from the moment they meet again. This time there was no age restrictions. This time there was no holding back. Oh, well maybe just a bit for a shot time.

I found that ways this one was mixed with the male female combo was just fab. I have found only a few where they use duo narrators and mix them where the female do those parts and the male do the male parts. I love it because it allows for a more believable narration. No male trying to sound feminine or vice versa. This was a knock out the park.

Story was OK, narration was mixed

cute short story, not really developed as the protagonist goes from boyfriend to psycho in .2 seconds in an unrealistic manner. I love the way they mixed the narration with female/mail voices. Much better than others who have males doing female voices, etc. BUT...... why the heck does the guy have an australian accent and why does Marcie from Arizona have a southern ethnic accent? The accents lost me, however the male narrator was pretty good even with the weird Australian thing. The female narrator just ruined it for me. I couldn't get into it at all. With a few exceptions, she sounded weak and flat, even when protesting she was a strong woman. I think it was the narration that made it sound weak, not the writing. Not my favorite and glad it was on Audible escape and not a credit.

Story week and Female had stupid accent!

I really liked most of the books. But this one was just stupid. Her boyfriend was a bad man. Who brought friends on a road trip to his girlfriends moms day is a funeral and stoped in Vegas for a rode trip and stayed in Vegas for two days. . That was all in the first chapter. I should of returned it then. She claimed she had backbone but she was walked over before she left home. Her friends from home saw what was happening at a bar. She hooked up with one of the friends and her ex boyfriend couldn’t handle her not being her for mat. The reading voice was okay. The Arizona accent was hideous. His voice wasn’t much better. I don’t know why he was speaking like he was from Australia. None of the other books even said he came from there nor this book. Just a waste of my time.

What is up with the narration?

The story wasn't bad but the narration was just weird. Marcy who lived in Arizona then Seattle has has a serious southern accent...then Hook has an Australian accent but he has always lived in Arizona? This is the weirdest narration I've ever heard. It kind of ruined it.

Short and Sweet!!

So far I've listened to three of Lilly Atlas books and loved every one of them and the narration being how it is makes it that much better. Moving on in the list of books hope more is available on audible from both MC'S that she has writen about so far!!

This story does not disappoint. The narrators we're awesome. The story was great. And I wish there were bikers like Hook in real life!
