Publisher's summary

On the heels of her smash hit and New York Times best-selling Screwed series, Kendall Ryan brings you Hitched, a romantic comedy that delivers heart and heat.

Marry the girl I've had a crush on my whole life? Check. Inherit a hundred-billion-dollar company? Check. Produce an heir.... Wait, what?

I have 90 days to knock up my brand-new fake wife. There's only one problem - she hates my guts. And in the fine print of the contract is the requirement that we produce an heir.

She can't stand to be in the same room with me. She says she'll never be in my bed. But I've never backed down from a challenge, and I'm not about to start now. Mark my words - I'll have her begging for me, and it won't take 90 days.

Hitched: Imperfect Love, Book 1

I was disappointed in the ending of this book. It left me hanging, am I going to rush out and purchase Book 2? No, I can just imagine I’d have to buy more than one more book to get to the ending. Yuck!

Captivating

This book was written so you can't walk away from it for a second. It had highs and lows and highs again!! It's an interesting book the only thing that let me down was the book ended. And I loved being caught up in the everyday life of somewhere else. Then I found out there's another story waiting for me to get to. And that's where I am going to now. Happy reading or listening to everyone!! You won't regret this one!!

A little far fetched for me.

The contract thing is overkill. I enjoyed Ava Erickson's narration. This was the first time I've really listened to Teddy Hamilton, other than very small appearances in some other audiobooks, but I had a hard time with his voice. Basically, you have to listen to the next book if you want to know what happens. I'm not sure I would get the second if I had to pay extra for it, but since it's included in my membership, I'll probably give it a shot.

No chapter 14

Chapter 14 is missing other than 25 seconds. Driver me a little crazy, book is pretty good I like the narration.

Her voice

I wish Olivia's part was done by a woman. It's very hard to follow with only male voices.

I enjoyed this book but...

Let me start off by saying that this review is after reading all three books. Now, I thoroughly enjoyed these books and would recommend them to a friend, but the entire time I was reading them I was internally screaming over the ridiculousness of the contract and the character's reactions to it. In this book, the two love interests are the children of two friends that are also successful business partners. One of the fathers passes away and the other has serious late stage cancer. Their children are only getting married because of a stipulation in their fathers' wills that says they only get ownership of the company if they get married and are pregnant within 3 months. Unfortunately, the two are total opposites, dislike each other and have no idea about this pregnancy clause until their wedding day when they go to sign a contract, agreeing to these terms.

My biggest issue with this story is that the entire will contract situation is presented as the idea of two benevolent and loving fathers who think their children are meant to be together and just want to ensure they get some grandkids. The problem with this is that these apparently loving and affectionate fathers have no real idea of what their children actually want in life. First of all, the two are in their early to mid 20's and are way too young to be thinking seriously about children. Secondly, the female protagonist is a hardworking woman who has dedicated her life to running her father's business. She's not interested in any sort of relationship right now because it would keep her from the work she loves and from trying to save the failing company that is the main motivator in this story. She is also a closet romantic and has dreamed of a happily ever after with the perfect man ever since she was a little girl. For her, this dream is basically destroyed when she is forced to marry a man she doesn't really like all that much. Even though it works out in the end, her father has no real reason to believe they will be happy as a married couple and for all he knows, he could be condemning her to a life of misery married to someone she doesn't love. She has also never expressed nor really felt the desire to have children because she enjoys climbing the corporate latter. Her father basically ignored her feelings and desires in life to selfishly achieve his own goals. No loving grandparent would want to knowingly subject a child to possibly growing up unwanted, in an unhappy home with parents who don't love each other. They also don't tell her about the pregnancy part of the contract until the 3rd book! Really attentive and loving fathers would know and care about what their children want in life and put their children's desires and needs above their own. Also, the male protagonist was kind of a man-whore commitment-phobe at the beginning of the book, but the dad just sort of ignored this behavior and for some reason thought he'd magically change to make a loyal, caring husband for his daughter and father for his grandchildren. It bothers me that this kind of terrible behavior is being packaged as just two caring men doing what they thought was right. If they really thought their children were meant to be together, they would have let them come together on their own. I'm just thankful it worked out for the characters because this relationship had the potential to be volatile and unhealthy.

Secondly, it annoyed me that the characters basically just took the contract lying down. Two strong-willed, independent adults who run a multi-million dollar company didn't even really try to fight the issue. They just kind of went along with it. They also didn't even really get mad at their fathers, the crazy people who subjected them to this whole thing. I feel that a real person being forced into this situation would have yelled and screamed at their dad at the very least. There was some internal anger over the situation but the protagonists didn't really confront them or get mad at them. If anything, they just got mad at each other.

Overall, even with these flaws I still enjoyed the books and I love Kendall Ryans works. I would still recommend you read them, just be wary of the slight aggravation with the characters actions you may experience.

Cliffhanger!!!

I strongly dislike that such a short story had to end in a cliffhanger but other than that the story was quite interesting.

Love the narrators and the story hate the cliffhanger especially when driving down the road and it's just over.

Loved the Narrators!

Love the story was so excited to read 2 & 3. To my surprise I am so so disappointed the narrator for 2&3 was not the correct narrator for those other two. Very Disappointed.
