Publisher's summary

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best seller Vivian Wood

Whatever she wants, I want it ten times harder.

My name is Elijah Scott, and I'm going to be your next president. I'm a rich, ripped, and ready to conquer the campaign trail. When it comes to women, I'm not looking for anything serious. Not now, not ever.

Until I see Meredith.

The sweet little blonde with curves in all the right places. One look into those beautiful blue eyes, and I can't help imagining how her hips would fit just right in my hands.

I'll never forget the secret she whispers in my ear: She's never been with anyone before. She's a temptation I can't resist. She's fresh out of college, just 22 years old and on the campaign trail with me...as a reporter. One leak exposed by Meredith, and my entire future goes up in flames.

As my secrets pile up, I can't stop fantasizing about Meredith. She's dangerous, a risk I can't afford...but her taste, her voice moaning my name over and over...I can't stop. Worse, I don't want to watch her walk away.

This full-length romance features some dirty words and adult situations.

Ending?!?!

Good but horrible ending!! Left hanging big time!!! It could have had an epilogue or another chapter at least! 😒

Enjoyed!

This story has a little of everything. Happy, sad, hot, and emotional. The narrator did a good job with it.

quite enjoyable

I liked this new twist on the presidential race. It was a sweet love story that had really good steamy moments. So if your looking for something new give it a try.

A Little Eh

During the whole book they can't be together because of the election. You wait the whole book to find out the outcome of the election. It ends while they're watching the results before they tell you the outcome. Can you say disappointing?
Also, I wasn't a big fan of the main character. They kept saying she wasn't spoiled and entitled despite her upbringing, but her inner dialogue didn't really show that in my opinion. Constantly wishing she was in Bali and not working (because her dad got her a job (gotta love nepotism), made her seem unappreciative. I didn't find her very relatable or kind, she also didn't have a lot of depth. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just okay

There were so many things wrong with this story. It was a little unrealistic to me. I mean he's running for president and he's running around all over the place by himself without any one of this people knowing where he's at. They talk about his campaign manager telling him what to do all the time but that's only when the author wants to show that she jealous and wants him. Other times, she no where in site. Plus he'd probably have more than just a campaign manger around giving him advice. He would probably have several advisers.

The characters talked all the time about how they couldn't be seen together but yet really made no effort to keep things hidden. I mean he would go to her room or she would go to his. Or he would watcher her with everyone around or even go out with her alone. People would notice and speculate. It just didn't fit with the story. They were only worried when the author thought it would be better for the book but it was only mentioned not showed.

I found Elijah to be a lush. He let his campaign manger tell him what to do instead of advise him. He knew she was jealous and being petty but instead of telling her to knock it off, he let her get away with it. Even when he was sure she released something to the press, he still let her help him and take his phone. What? He also teared up or cried a lot. What?

In one scene he left Meredith in the bed to lock himself in the bathroom to take a private call. It's said when he comes out he finds her at the door all scared and shocked from his conversations like she knew what was said on both sides but how would she? She should have only heard his side which in case, she wouldn't have a clue what they were talking about. It didn't make any sense at all.

I found that the ending was really rushed. I mean everything came back together in the last few seconds of the book. I also didn't like the writing style of this author. I won't be continuing with this series.

I found the narrator to be alright.
