Publisher's Summary

Is anyone ever free of their past?
Etta was ready for a fresh start. After her turbulent undergraduate years, she moved on to fulfill her dream along the shores of Lake Superior. She poured everything she had into a healthy mind, body, and spirit, and worked to become the best writer she could be.
Tom was forging a new vision for his life after a career-ending injury. Losing his NHL future, Tom longed to build a meaningful life.
After a chance meeting, Tom and Etta create a bond in friendship and beyond. But is it possible to start anew with baggage from the past and no clear vision of the future? Can they make something pure from the crumbling embers? Words from Henrietta, who had already rebuilt her life from tragedy, bring the answers that allow them to move forward. But is it too late?
Find out if Etta finds peace. Listen to what critics have called a "thoroughly engaging, meticulously written romance". Download this romantic gem today.
Henrietta is standalone coming-of-age romance, which is the first in a three-book series, set in Marquette, Michigan and northern Iowa.
(Contains adult language and content)
Are you tired of romances that are always about a billionaire or a bad boy? Or, better yet, the troublemaker who is, in reality, a good man but nobody knows it? They aren't realistic, and after a few of them, they grow old. Patricia M Jackson strives to write romances about people you might meet in real life, people like you and I. They may do somewhat extraordinary things in her books, but their 15 minutes of fame disappear, and they go on to live the lives of a regular Jane and Joe.

Good Romantic Suspense

After a terrible event, Etta relocates to escape her past and start anew. Overcoming her fear, she finds the courage to fall in love. Unfortunately the past once again rears its ugly head - this time with possibly deadly consequences. Will Etta find the happiness that she deserves with Tom?

Romance, suspense and sprinkles of humor made Henrietta a very enjoyable listening experience. Tom's patience and sensitivity allowed Etta to again trust a man and I loved the Donato family dynamics. Etta showed that family was also important to her and exhibited calm and bravery in the face of danger. There was depth to the main characters that made them realistic and relatable. The narrator was engaging and added to my enjoyment of the story. I would recommend Henrietta: The House of Donato Series, Book 1.

This is the first book I have listened to by this author and it won't be the last! A well thought out romance with a touch of suspense - I loved the character development in this one! These characters seemed so real and relate-able and I enjoyed their romance. The narration was perfect for this story! I can't wait to check out more by this author and narrator!
