Enjoyable, but...

I love a good MC Book. This is definitely a traditional MC book. Its got the traditional storyline of bad ass biker who is actually a softie when it comes to his long lost daughter. There is also some "insta love" happening. Its just REALLY hard for me to get completely lost in a audiobook when the Alpha male is read by a female narrator. There are very very few female narrators who can make me forget that they are a female narrator when reading the male characters. I know its more expensive for the author/publisher, but I would prefer it if there were 2 narrators. I would actually be wiling to pay more for the audiobook if that were needed.

What did I just listen to?

I don't usually write reviews on books but I felt it was necessary to write one for this book. The narration for Addison was alright but when Carly tried to do a mans voice it just sounded all wrong. She made Cade sound like he was from Louisiana and Texas in different parts of the book and it was kind of annoying. It just wasn't consistent. Also throughout the book Addison says she wasn't running from her past and she didn't need help but that's exactly what she was seeking out. The guys in the MC are just looking out for her and she completely disregards them. The h was just flip flopping and basically being a hypocrite the whole story.

This isn't the typical MC story where you have a tough biker falling in love with the Presidents daughter, it is not fun to read/listen to. It didn't have any light sides to it. Usually the story has a character to lighten the mood a smidge but not here at all. The H/h were both annoying and to mean to each other. Typically in romance I want the couple to actually like each other. Yeah I get its cool to have them bicker a bit, and that's cute and all but these characters were just annoying. To be honest it was just a big disappointment.

3 stars is generous for this MC book .....

I really love this author.

Narration is terrible. Perhaps its what ruined the book for me.

That being said I was excited to see that she wrote an MC book. For some reason this book was just average for me. This book is brutal to the heroine (Addison) who has survived more than her share of atrocities that began early in life. Addison was raised in a brutal environment which follows her until her mother's death. She finds her way to her estranged father who is the president of an MC. She meets an unlikely hero, Cade VP of her father's MC. Things transpire from there.

The narration was terrible. Yes I stated it again. It was worth stating again.

This is not worth a credit, but worth a sale.

Entertaining

I wouldn't say that this was a gritty, hard core, intense biker book. It seemed more stereotypical than real.

THAT BEING SAID... it was entertaining. I enjoyed listening to it and even tho I throughout a few eye rolls, for the most part... I just had a good time listening. The narrator was great, she pulled off the male voices more easily than most although I would have rather this been a dual narration because there are specific chapters by Kade.

If you have the money or a credit to spare and are looking for an easy listen, this will be a good one.

Story was okay....Narrator is awful....

Would you try another book from Bella Jewel and/or Carly Robins?

I may have to read the ebook if Carly Robins has anything to do with the next one.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I liked the relationship with Addison and her dad.

Would you be willing to try another one of Carly Robins’s performances?

Not if I have a choice...she's makes the book hard to listen too.

Do you think Hell’s Knights needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Still on the fence making a decision on a follow up....

Good in parts, over the top in other parts.

Love alpha males so I enjoyed this story but the heroine was immature and annoying. The narrator needs to
go!

Fun books BUT narrator is horrible!!!!

I'm not sure why Audible keeps hiring this narrator, Carly Robbins. Not to be mean, really, but her voice is annoying and irritating.I've read this series and it was a fun read. It's not high brow literature but it's entertaining as hell. To be honest I wouldn't have bought the books if it wasn't for the fact that I got them for a great price because I own the Kindle editions. I would not have paid full price otherwise, not with this narrator. I'm debating purchasing the next Jamie Begley book, Shade, that is coming out soon because they use the same narrator. I don't think she works well with these types of alpha/motorcycle type books, her voice is too nasal and annoying. Honestly, does Audible not listen to it's customers? Does Audible not care and take into account when so many of the reviewers say the same thing about a narrator? I know that there's always people who like and not like a book for whatever reasons, but when many make the same comments about the narrator, it just makes you wonder if Audible even cares. Audible, what say you?

Needs a better narrator....

Would you be willing to try another one of Carly Robins’s performances?

Carly wasn't a good narrator for this series. The way she reads the different characters - she is constantly screaming the lines. Makes for a hard listen.

Not enjoyable

The story was painful by itself but the dramatization by the female narrator was terrorizing. I almost stopped listening - the hea was an afterthought. Do authors ever listen to the narrated versions of their work? This was an old publishing and it didn’t age well.
