Publisher's summary

I named myself. I took the word animal out of their mouths, wore it like a badge of honor, then shoved it down their throats. I've fought for what I have. I see you coming before you even know you want a piece of me. In a city riddled with warring families, I'll rise up between them. My people, the broken souls I gather, will have power by the time I'm done with them.

I protect mine.

Him. My brother, Nix.

Her. The girl that is the only home I've ever had. She knows me.

I'm coming at you, sweetness. Stay ready.

Wish they came together sooner

It’s a HEA yes but damn the entire book is how long it takes to get there. There is more on heartbreak then happy but this is well written. The main female could have had some more focus on her like her own sex life before him... and well maybe her training.

Action packed romance

If you have not read Mercy, start there first. Havoc is a great book by itself but it is even better if you read Lock and know more history of characters and their relationships with eachother. Either way, it's a must read!

Pretty damn good👍

I don’t know why this author isn’t more prominent. I really enjoy this world she built and all the characters in it. As a connoisseur of romance I can’t tell you how many romance novels just kind of blend together. This one and its prequel Mercy are different in the best possible way. Will definitely read Lock. And likely more Debra Anastasia.

Mixed feelings

I listened to the entire book with no regrets. It didn’t WOW me. I liked the character development. Good job describing the scenes. I always appreciate a strong female, although T was a little over committed to Animal. I felt her escape and the ending was a little rushed and fell flat.

In terms of performance, Benjamin is the perfect male narrator. I’m glad Rose had small parts. I didn’t
Care for her narration, especially as the male voice.

GREAT BOOK & NARRATION

Really enjoyed this book. Although it is a standalone, I didnt realize Mercy should have been read before hand since Nix and Becca was mentioned QUITE a bit as a couple and they are the lead characters in Mercy..OOPS. Onto that next. I was in absolute awe of the strength that T's character had. She was a beast of a heroine. Stronger than most Hero leads in other books. I loved that about her and gravitated towards her in every one of her chapters. Normally I am all about the males but T enchanted me. Havoc/Animal was just what his name says. An animal. & Once he cleared the fog from his head and actually saw how he felt for T all bets were off. I loved this book. Cant wait to read more from Debra

Powerful Story of Love and Loyalty

To say that this is the best book ever is an understatement. Animal and T's connection begins when they are innocent teenagers in a world of selfish corruption and hatred. They are both part of a system that destroys the fairytale dreams of children and replaces them with nightmares. Even though the devil is always on their heels, they have each other and Merc, a cop with good intentions.

Eventually though the devil does catch up to them and ultimately they are separated. Throughout the years one never forgot the other. They both knew that life's promises would bring them back together. They do find each other and it's the relationship they form as adults that continues the story. You think they will be together, that they will share the intimacy missing when they were teenagers but it doesn't happen.....well not when you want it to happen anyway. Instead there is a whole lot of other stuff going on that gets in the way and, in part, it's this other stuff that makes it such a great book.

Oh and OMG the audible narrators are so good and by good I mean sexy good. There are so many good lines but the one I remember is at the end of the book when T is talking to himself....he says," I stayed naked because I knew how magnificent I was without clothes and it would make her happy."

Wow, that was really a great book!

It had probably been a year since I listened to “Mercy”. However, it was written so well that I could recall every detail. This book was just as good.

The only two things I didn’t like about Havoc are.......
The timeline, at the beginning of the book, is confusing. It starts out in current times and then flashes back. The book doesn’t really tell you this, you have to figure it out through the content.

I wish the book could have been a couple of hours longer. The slow burn of Animal and T’s intimacy, lasts until the last couple of chapters. I wish there was more story after their unification.

With that being said, trust me and add this to your library, now. You will have no regrets!

I think I'm in Love

I need 1,000% more of the actor who played Animal. I love him and I will follow him anywhere.

Boy oh Boooooooy

Debra Anastasia is great!!!

I did not see this one coming the way it did buuuuuut loved every bit of it.

Animal or street name Havoc grew up in a foster care home not knowing his mother. He had a tough life but met “T” who was homeless but went to school together. They would dream of what they would do when they grew up. They saved each other from really really bad situations then they lost touch.

Havoc has a big personality and he’s of course affected by his situation too, growing up knowing no one loves you does a number on a person… but he has a lovable aura and everyone is drawn to him but of course T knows him on the inside…

Havoc becomes rich with his friend Nix (Mercy, from the book Mercy) and he reconnects with T. T is now an assassin, can we just pause there? A heroine who can take care of herself, goes toe to toe with the Hero and even though it took them FOREVER to get their HEA I loved how T was not a whiner, a complainer of dumb with her actions… she was just all around amazing and they complimented each other perfectly… this was, insert a chef’s kiss for lack of proper words. I really enjoyed reading something completely different from book 1 (Mercy) the characters were not similar in the bedroom department nor how they acted and you get a little bit of back stories of some things from Mercy but from a different perspective so it’s not a repetition you just get that it’s the same time but different… I couldn’t love this book enough…T just became one of my top 3 heroine characters (the whiny heroines are exhausting) This has action, love, regret almost everything!

Ms. Anastasia’s ability to create this world, shaking my head, truly, no words, her imagination is astounding, like completely different characters and WOW!!!

Worth a credit? YES!!! How else will you know about Animal and his big personality?
