Publisher's Summary

Jade loves her new apartment - until a ghost joins her in the shower.
When empath Jade Calhoun moves into an apartment above a strip bar on Bourbon Street, she expects life to get interesting. What she doesn't count on is making friends with an exotic dancer, attracting a powerful spirit, and developing feelings for Kane, her sexy landlord.
Being an empath has never been easy on Jade's relationships. It's no wonder she keeps her gift a secret. But when the ghost moves from spooking Jade to terrorizing Pyper, the dancer, it's up to Jade to use her unique ability to save her. Except she'll need Kane's help - and he's betrayed her with a secret of his own - to do it. Can she find a way to trust him and herself before Pyper is lost?

Not a cozy mystery, hot and sometimes violent.

Would you listen to Haunted on Bourbon Street again? Why?

Absolutely. It will be either a great re-listen or re-read. Good story, narration, and characters.

Have you listened to any of Traci Odom’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this is my first audio of hers. She did a great job. I especially loved Kane's character. Very seductive, masculine, and hot.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the guys are locked in the upstairs apartment by the ghost and he attacks the women.

Any additional comments?

I got this on a deal and it looked like a like cozy mystery from the cover. Not. Well laid out plot, hints, but no giveaways. Wonderfully supportive characters that make you care. She is a new author for me, however, I will certainly read and or listen to more from Ms. Chase.

Shows potential

What did you like best about Haunted on Bourbon Street? What did you like least?

The characters and the setup are fun, but Jade, the main character, is a bit of a doormat. I'm hoping she'll grow a back bone as the series progresses

What does Traci Odom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

She's a good narrator and manages enough variation of voice that it's easy to tell which character is speaking

Do you think Haunted on Bourbon Street needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It's the start of a series.
