Publisher's summary

Grant Campbell, famous trick rider from Riverbend, Texas, thought it was over with Christina, the love of his life. But a chance encounter one dark spring night gives Grant hope that he can have a second chance. Things are changing in Riverbend, though - things that threaten to take Christina away from him forever.

Christina Farrell has tried to move on after her breakup with Grant, the hot Texas cowboy who stole her peace of mind the day he walked into her bar and gave her his sinful smile. But every reminder of him tells her it's not over in her heart. Christina realizes she'll never forget him until she makes some changes in her life, but before she can, a reconnection with Grant alters everything for her in an unexpected way.

Great Series

Grant and Christina have a love affair of the heart but can't seem to recognize that. Grant's family are stunt men and horse trainers. As a result of a stunt job an unexpected business opportunity arises, and the family comes together to rally around their small community. And, Grant and Christina get their HEA.

A Nice Easy Love Story

Any additional comments?

I don't normally listen to contemporary romance, but I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Ashley. This was a nice easy book to listen to without a huge amount of drama...the description of the country & life in the Hill Country was "on target"...being a native Texan, I have spent a good amount of time there....this was a good enjoyable listen & I would recommend it.

True Love

Two people who deeply love each other have found their way back together. With a bonus!
I like books that have anything to do with the West and ranches.

I found this to be an okay story.

This was a okay story. I hope you had read Adam, which was way better than this one. And I don't understand why audible does not put the first volume on the in the storyline as a part of the Romance package it's the first one the first story should always be included and whatever promotions that they are running because it's just us not make sense to have readers start on a second edition of a storyline that spins through several books and you're only going to offer a few of those as part of the promotion. The story itself was okay. There were times that I felt the heroine in the story didn't act as old as what they were supposed to be by her actions the indecisiveness of her decisions and all of that just did not make the story portray her as an older woman mature woman. There were Parts in the story that really dragged and the intimate scenes of the story at times as nothing and did not come across as passionate as two lovers or supposed to be. the connection I think because of this the connection wasn't as felt by the reader. Your connection just wasn't as felt as different couples first story couple was. Overall though it was an alright story and it will link the rest I believe t. I just wish that Audible would stop the not putting the first book in a series as part of a romance package that Amazon did for romance readers. I for one, am a romance only reader, so this package really is the only membership that makes sense for me to get. If I read anything other than romance I could understand getting the full Audible membership but, it is like throwing away money to pay for the full membership. I found out recently that Audible doesn't qualify those who took part in the Amazon promotion , are really not considered members. It's just not right. Anyway, what I am mostly trying to say is, You just don't want to start a story in the middle it doesn't make sense. I hope Audible will consider me changing this.

The H/h Were Somewhat Immature

The storyline of this book was ok. I also listened to the Audiobook. The narration was good, but the basic story,....not my favorite.

I kind of liked Grant and Christina. I did think that with the misunderstandings and miscommunications, their behavior was more like high school students. They did have chemistry, but not much of a relationship. The relationship boiled down to their past, and the time they spent getting reaquainted, which was more tell than show for me.

I also thought the situation Christina found herself in with Grant and Ray was interesting. Especially when Grant was supposedly the love of her life, and Ray was aware of it, and Christina didn't plan on a future with Ray. I got more of a sense in her part that they were FWB.

I'm not sure if I missed their ages or not, but when Christina told Bailey what was going on and Bailey "fixed" things for her, I had to wonder again if they were just out of high school.

The book wasn't terrible. I did feel like I had walked into the middle of Grant and Christina's story. I'm going to try Carter's book and hope that it is better.
