Publisher's summary

A warm pie. A tasty guy. Happy Thanksgiving indeed.

Homecomings for Lauren Hauser are always filled with delicious food and hopes for a distraction from her quirky family. The only exception with this visit: she’s been given the challenge of preparing her grandmother’s pie.

Set out on a journey for pecans, Lauren stumbles into Jack a guy who despite his charm (and kissable lips) appears to be in a committed relationship - with his career. His main concern is taking care of a last minute errand for a client, not Lauren or her quest for the key ingredient.

Frazzled in more ways than one, Lauren’s journey improves when Jack rescues her from an icy walk. Attraction and tension rise and soon pecans aren't the only things getting toasty in the kitchen.

I think I have fallen for Jack

Would you listen to Going Pecans again? Why?

Yes I would. It is short enough to enjoy in a single sitting but with enough involved in it to keep you enthralled.

What did you like best about this story?

I grinned and laughed and completely fell in love with Jack. I had enjoyed him in the second book but in Going Pecans it was like meeting him for the first time. I heard myself going why can't I have a man who flirts with me/ looks after me / treats me like that and I am very happily married. From this book I have a whole scenario of what Jack looks like and how he behaves. I am a bit of a Lauren fan too and she fits into the Imagery I have going in my mind.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Jack and Lauren first meet at the Pecan farm.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

See above to what I like best.

Any additional comments?

The writing in this book is clear, creates the scene well and builds the relationships between the characters and the audience. From the first page the text is easy to relate to and I found hard to put down. I didn't get bored with the storyline and found it kept up a good pace to keep the reader / listener engaged.

I had already read the second book in the series so I was familiar with characters. I knew where it was all going but I had never really known where the characters had been. Having read this book I now understand them a better.

A delightfully witty romance!

I loved this book and it made for a great Sunday (Easter dinner) read! A clean click lit romance that delivers romance to us in the sweetest way!

Grandma gives her secret recipe for her famous pecan pie to Lauren, her grand daughter with instructions that she must make this pecan pie for Thanksgiving and ONLY buy the pecans at one certain pecan farm. Grandma also did the same thing with Jack, A young man who helps take care of the elderly. It is a set up of the sweetest kind! You have to read the book to get all the details...

The author did a great job writing this book. The plot is sweet & wholesome and very romantic. I sat here listening to this book with a smile on my face. The narrator, Hollie Jackson did a great job with her multiple voices and accents too! She delivered us a flawless story full of love and energy. This book doesn't disappoint!
