Publisher's Summary

Conall VĂga-Feilan, direct descendent of Viking shifters, never thought that he'd meet a female strong enough to be his mate. He especially didn't think that a short, viper-tongued human would ever fit the bill. But Miki Kendrick isn't some average human. With an IQ off the charts and a special skill with weapons of all kinds, Miki brings the big blond pooch to his knees - and keeps him there.
Miki's way too smart to ever believe in love, and she knows that a guy like Conall could only want one thing from her. But with the Pack's enemies on her tail and a few days stuck alone with the one man who makes her absolutely wild, Miki is about to discover how persistent one Viking wolf can be.

Magnus Pack!

More fun from Shelly Laurenston, and a look at the pack that Blaine's father left years ago.
This series brings in old friends from Shelly's main series and is as much fun to read as the rest of her work.
This book features Micki, a highly intelligent woman who has lived life based on choices with maximum stability and minimal chance of heart break. She is forced to partner with a powerful and stubborn wolf with the genetics of those who fought against unfavorable odds and stubborn people and won. Immovable object meets irresistible wolf.
The sex is frequent and life-changing, but Micki achieves her life goal and gains a life with a Viking wolf shifter that she never knew was possible, a respectful relationship of equals.
They earn their HEA, enemies in the shadows with unknown motivations and no intention of taking prisoners. Who knew getting your PhD required so many rounds of ammo and mysterious incendiary liquids that sound like Greek fire?
Definitely credit worthy, and I hope the next books show up before the year 2200. I'm enjoying this series a lot!

good-but too much sex, distracts from a good story

I thoroughly enjoy urban fantasy sprinkled with humor and a little romance. These stories, otherwise good and humorous, focus very heavily on sex.
