Thomas Hammer, a pit bull shifter, is bound by magic in his canine form and needs to find a way to break free. 2.5 Overall.

Not exactly what I was hoping for, but it's readable, which is not much of a glowing review. I did get this when it was on sale which I'm thankful for. The story has a lot happening but it felt rushed. Too many characters were added and there was not enough face time with the main characters. The sex left something to be desired, especially since the woman had sex with three different people within the two and a half hours of the book. Then we are expected to believe the bonding between them at the last minute, it didn't work for me. The worst was the narrator, he had a nice voice but he read really, really fast.

Not as advertised

The story plot acts as if this is a full love story. It ends that way... at the VERY end, but the main character(s) get with other people along the way. Not a terrible story, but not what I expected. I also had to slow the narration down as the speed was just too fast for me.

His "Barc" is just as good as his bite!

Would you listen to Get'n Hammered again? Why?

Yes; I've read two lifetimes' worth of erotica, and I honestly found each erotic section to be highly diverse and unique in its own way. A second (or third) pass would definitely reveal more detail to "wet the appetite"

What other book might you compare Get'n Hammered to and why?

Reminds me of a cross between 50 Shades of Grey and Beauty and the Beast...especially the Beast part, if you know what I mean! ;)

What does Mark Mullaney bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mark Mullaney brings something unique to each character of the story; it is clear who is talking by the subtle nuances in his dialogue depending on who is talking. He makes the characters come alive during the story and puts you right there in the action!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The writing/narration of the first chapter painted a pretty sad image of the helpless dog stuck in the rough kennel, which is sure to get me every time.

This book was great, I can't wait for more in the series from both the author AND the voice actor! What a great collaboration!

Yes, Mark Mullaney has an amazing voice, and I could listen to him forever. He knows how to keep you interested in the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Hammer as a dog. His thoughts as a human in dog form was interesting. I have always wondered what my pets are thinking. LOL

Which character – as performed by Mark Mullaney – was your favorite?

Mark did a great job with Desiree. He changed his voice so it was easy to determine each character's personality, but he really did a good job with the strong female.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Hammer's love for his dog friends was awesome. Seeing him help Max and put with up the little hyper puppy was heartwarming, and helped cement my love for Hammer.

Get'n Hammered is one sizzling story, it is full of detailed sexy scenes that leave you wanting more. I loved the story! I can't wait for more from Casey Holloway!
