Publisher's Summary

The next in the hot, new series featuring Max Holt and Jamie Swift, filled with even more fast-paced action, crazy characters, steamy sex, suspense, and nonstop hilarity. This time the town of Beaumont, South Carolina, is going to hell in a handbasket. It all starts when Jamie decides to increase revenues for her newspaper by starting a personal ads section. Suddenly, the town gets "all sexed up." The local Chinese-food joint starts creating risque fortune cookies. A trashy lingerie shop opens. The bakery starts making pornographic pastries. Everyone gets the idea that sex sells. But someone has more sinister objectives. Several "unlikeable" townsfolk end up dead. And the key to the murders is connected to Jamie's newspaper, especially the personal ads. Enlisting the help of the ever-so-sexy Max Holt, Jamie has to battle raging hormones, a heat wave, a murderous villain, and nonstop attraction for Max in a novel where it's not just the air conditioners going full blast!

What the Critics Say

Great book!

I have read all of the Stephanie Plum series and they are very good books. This is the first time I have read a different story by Janet. The characters Max-a-Million Holt and Jamie Swift are quite the couple. Although this story was not as funny as the Stephanie Plum stories, it is a very good story. There are parts that are very funny in the story. I hope that Janet will publish more books in this series. There are six currently: Full Scoop, Full tilt, Full blast, Full house, Full Speed, and Full Bloom. I have read all six books. The only difference I noticed is that Max is a character in all six books. Jamie and Vera are characters in five of the books. Otherwise there are different characters in each book.

What a disapointment!

What a disapointment! Her audio books are my favorites for long trips, but this book co-written with Charlotte Hughes was such a bore! It had none of Janet's funny situations that made me laugh when visualizing them. She normally has a fast paced story line, and a quick wit. This had neither. I hope she does not repeat this co-author venture. This endevor just diluted her style and sense of humor. I hesitated to give it one star rating.
