Publisher's summary

Elizabeth tries to pick up the pieces when her marriage falls apart, but after an accident she finds that nothing in her life is as she remembers it - including her husband.

"I'd always played it safe, and look where it got me. My life ended the day he walked out the door. I just needed one night of recklessness to grieve the end of my marriage. I didn't plan on meeting him. What if it's too good to be true? Do people actually get the lives they deserve?"

From the author:

I'm a big proponent of happy endings. I think in a life that is so unpredictable, it's nice to know that our favorite characters will end up together.

That being said, From This Day Forward ends in a cliff-hanger. There isn't this great resolution that ties up all the loose ends nicely. Why? Because it wouldn't be realistic. Life isn't an old sitcom where every problem is resolved within the 30 minute time spot. Also, it wouldn't have felt right to rush the characters through certain emotions in order to get an ending that would please everyone. That's why I split it into two books. I know a lot of listeners hate being surprised by cliff-hangers, so I'm doing everyone a solid and mentioning it up front.

So sit back, and enjoy listening.

Get ready for a twists that you can't imagine

If you could sum up From This Day Forward in three words, what would they be?

Crazy, unbelievable and shocking

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's hard because people you thought you like or hate might change your mind. This is full of twists and it's so hard to explain without giving everything away.

What does Maren McGuire bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

More depth to the character Beth. She allows you too experience the anguish more.
Her voice was good and I thought she did a great job with the male voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes...I think I said OMG numerous times. Gasping a lot because when you think you know something, you're wrong. Great story!

Any additional comments?

I was definitely sucked into the story. This is divided into three parts and will leave you with questions because yes it is a cliffhanger. But I like that Shannon was up front right away with that. I knew that it was going to end with a bang and boy did it!! Shocking! The whole story is not like anything I've read so I was quite entertained. I can't wait too see how everything plays out and what is the truth. My only drawback was that Beth needed more self confidence and I didn't like how her husband said her name all the time, it was just too formal. read/listen!

I received this as a gift for honest review
