I Love this series and I love the narrations.. However....
Narration - The first two books were narrated by Cooper North which I loved.. I thought he did a really great job with the m/m & then m/m/m narrations and keeping all of the men's voices noticeably different. This book has a new Narrator Kenneth Obi. Now... Let me just say I have listened to a few other books narrated by Kenneth and I Absolutely Positively LOVED them.. But in those books the characters had a softer type feel to them which worked out perfect for them. I think with Nox's voice in this book he did a great job.. My one and only small complaint is I would have liked a little bit of a gruffer voice for Adam since that's how I see him in my head and how he is written in the book. And it has me a little nervous for book 4.. But well wait and see how that one goes. lol. I will still read and listen to every book in this series either way since it has come to be one of my All Time Favorites.
Book - This book Starts with Adam, the owner of Heathens Ink, he's keeping secrets of being closeted (Bi) from his closest friends just because he cant seem to find the words to tell them. He starts talking to Nox "phoenix" through a chat app when he feels phoenix is trying to reach out to someone, anyone for help. Adam offers help, no strings attached. Nox has a lot to deal with, but eventually he makes his way to Adam and they cant fight the attraction to each other. Add in a few Crazy Ex's with some drama, and some good friends who are more like family, and you end up with a great storyline.
I Love these book, so much!! I literally cannot pick my favorite in this series..

So, this is another great book in this great series. Adam and Nox are one of my favorite romance couples. Their attraction and their fates were intertwined before they ever met face to face. So many similar interests, experiences and heartbreaks seem to lure them to each other. Adam wants to save every stray that he can find to ease his guilt and heal the loss of his brother, Johnny who drifts through this series as a benevolent ghost shaping and changing lives. Nox is as broken as a stray can be having made it through a horrible past but not really living. They spark each other in a new and special way each saving the other. This is another book where K. M. Neuhold deals with difficult issues such as domestic abuse, suicide and drug addiction and the social and political climate that fosters them in America today. The kind of introspection it takes to change your life in a major way is never easy. When you finally find it in your life it opens you up to every possibility waiting for you. That and some great sex... I would be lying if I let you think I read m/m romance for it’s sociological importance. I don’t, it’s the love, the sex and the ever after I am looking for. In this series I get them all. Each story intertwines the characters and relationships and builds on them, they are stepping stones and each gets better. We get to see how our “families of choice” rather than our families of birth move into the forefront in our adult lives. I rejoice in the role my family of choice has played throughout my life and it is celebrated throughout the Hunter’s Ink series. I had not listened to this voice actor, Kenneth Obi, and was sad at first the Cooper North did not finish the series. Cooper North would be a hard act for anyone to follow, but Kenneth Obi did and he did it well. I am planning to listen to as much of his work as I can find.

Adam lost his younger brother in a very sad and tragic way. He runs a very successful tattoo shop but since the loss of his brother. He has done all he can to help and support people who are going through the same problems.
Nox grew up with a drug-addicted mother and was on the streets at a young age. He did what he needed to do to survive, but it's got to the point where he really doesn’t feel like surviving any longer. He has nothing to live for, until one day on a social media site. He engages in a conversation with "Inked". He show him a glimpse of a possibility of a better life.
There is so much more to this story but to give more away would spoil the angst and build up of friendship and love.
Adam and Nox are perfect for each other and their journey is a beautiful story of triumph over fears and addictions.
Warning! The book depicts substance abuse and domestic abuse.
