Publisher's summary

He's broken in body and spirit, but she's not giving up.

Leave me the hell alone. Is that so freakn' hard to grasp?

Yeah, Derrick is angry and bitter, but with good reason. His army buddies should have left him to die instead of dragging him out of the rebel camp - and he means drag. Shrapnel to his back ensured his legs are useless hunks of meat. Everything below his waist is useless.

As if that isn't bad enough, fate just has to kick a wolf when he is down and send him the curvy and luscious Janine. According to his inner beast, she's his mate. Not happening. There will be no claiming, because Derrick isn't about to saddle anyone with half a man. Problem is, Janine, with her fiery red hair and tempting curves, won't leave him the hell alone. She thinks she can fix him. And a part of him, the part that refuses to give up hope, is tempted to let her try.

Can she teach this broken wolf new tricks - including bedroom ones - that will make him howl once again?

A wonderful emotional roller coaster

Would you listen to Freakn' Out again? Why?

This story is about Derrick who returns from war, paralyzed from the waist down. He's not happy with this and thinks he should have died on the battlefield. In walks a new doctor to rehab him and she's his freakin' mate! Now the fun begins! This story is raw and hopeful, not just dark and angry. There's a realism in the story that suggests a great deal of research. Not just a shallow read. If all you want is non-stop sexy time with no struggles and tears, look elsewhere, but if you want some meaningful romance with heart, here it is.

Freakn' Shifters Book Seven

Freakn' Shifters Book Seven

When Derrick returns home without the use of his lower body, he is rightfully angry and distant. However, he's pushed his family away and they will not have it! They hire Janine to set him straight and bring him home to them. Janine comes into the situation knowing that Derrick is a shifter because her step-father is a member of the shifter council. Derrick cannot believe that the council sent a human woman to help him, but he figures she'll be easy to scare off. When she doesn't scare that easily, Derrick grumpily works with her.

If you've been waiting for Derrick to come home, you'll get a kick out of this story!

Such a tender touching insightful...

Such a tender touching insightful look into what our heroes go through to keep our country safe. I have always admired our military, but this story made my eyes open wider. Ms Langlais handled this story with such grace. Such a wonderful romance. Ms Hooper is a great narrator also. Don’t miss out on this story, I don’t think you’d be lost if you only listened to this one of the series. But each one is very different.

Tremendous.

Book seven was just as good if not better than the previous 6. Having read the Ebook already I still enjoyed the audio version. I would welcome more from this series.

Great but...

I enjoyed this book even though I was first a bit annoyed finding out the hero was a part wolf and a part man. These things should be stated in the describtion since I don't usually like "supernatural" mixed with romance. How ever, after some listening this thing did not bother me anymore.

Some things felt a bit cliché and "seen before". I would have liked a bit more sexy times, but there was a chemistry there. Narration was good but it would have been perfect with dual narrators. The ending was great and there is HEA.

Not my favourite from the wounded warrior/ptsd vet type of romance but nice listen anyway.

I loved the whole series.

The characters were great, the details wonderful. and Tillie Hooper rocks. I thought it was just reading a book until a listened to another narrator and realized it can be done badly. She doesn't detract from the feelings you are supposed to get from the book.

Great read

I love Eve Langlais books with the exception of the threesomes they are not my thing the main characters are realistic and make your heart melt I know nothing about what injured vets go through but that didn't matter with this book the whole subject was treated beautifully, and made you proud of the hero and what he went through it was a romantic story that you didn't want to put down and had me sitting up till 3 in the morning.Eves book never disappoint what ever type they are and this is no exception
