Publisher's Summary

Franco Genovese is the drummer for world-renowned American rock band Rook. He's got it all. A killer smile. Tattoos. Talent. Razor-sharp wit and humor. And a heart as big, and generous, as they come. Life is good. Steady. Uncomplicated. Just the way he likes things. Until one night at an unassuming L.A. bar changes everything.
Enter Gemma Hendricks. She's a successful young architect from Northern England with an adorable smile, sarcasm for days, and an unparalleled trusting heart. The attraction is instant. So is their friendship. It's also temporary because they'll both be heading home, thousands of miles apart from each other, in a few days. Or is it?
There's something Gemma wants more than anything else. And when Franco propositions her to provide what she's looking for, everything changes. Will it transform friendship into love, or will it be their ruin?

Franco's story made my heart happy!

I loved Franco's story so much! I knew he was a good guy but this book just showed how great he was. I found this story to be a little predictable but that's ok because it still made my heart happy even if I knew what was coming. The Bright Side, Gus, Franco world is so full of good-hearted people who deserve nothing but great in their lives. During the epilogue I found myself a little sad because Kate wasn't there is see how happy everyone is and to meet all the new people that would have been in her life. I know... I know it's a book but it just hit me so hard I can't help but think of them as real.

The narration of this book didn't work for me. I love Jeremy York and his narration but I do not think he was a good choice for Franco. He made Franco seem a little to wimpy and emotional with his soft spoken voices. I think Franco needed to be a little more rough sounding like Gus was. I still gave it 5 stars for narration because he is a good narrator it wasn't him, just more about casting.

Pretty darn average

This is the third book in the series. We all come back because that first one was so heart rending and so wonderful, we yearn for more. I didn't find it in book 2 with Gus, so I decided to not buy another, but then..... that first book was SO GOOD, so I had to give another one a try. I was disappointed again. But that first book was so good, I just might be suckered into a 4th if there is one, unless reviews really well and truely convince me otherwise.

If you like romances that are pretty much according to a formula, then I guess this will be ok. I don't like paying for just ok though, it makes me feel quite a bit cheated. But I did get all the way to the end, which is why there are 2 stars, not 1.
