Publisher's summary

Neely Wallace is a wanted woman - wanted by those who would do her harm. She's uncovered damning evidence against her boss, a powerful US senator, implicating him in mob and drug activity. To lie low, Neely retreats to family in New England. While out trick-or-treating with her nephew, Neely knocks on the door of a nearby mansion, and fate - in the form of charming and reclusive Aidan Tremayne - answers the door.

Aidan Tremayne has a secret. He's been living with it for centuries, and he's hated every second of it. He yearns for the day when he can walk in light of day and return to the land of the living. When Aiden meets the beautiful, funny, intelligent, human stranger, suddenly his longing has a name: Neely Wallace. Sucked in by blood-pumping romance and bitten with blood-curdling intrigue, the two lovers are faced with challenges and enemies from both sides of the veil between the living and the dead as they navigate the twisting road toward a shared - and mortal - life.

One of my favorite vampire tales!

A beautiful story. A gifted narrator. It was as much fun to listen to as it was to read. Those last lines get me in the feels every time!

Disappointed

I’m so disappointed in this book. I started listening and could not get into it. Aidan complained and whined to much, maybe I will try later to finish this book.

Not my cup of tea

It had some good points, but just not my cup of tea. If you like "Love at First Sight" books that include vampires, then you may like this book. I'm talking, people saying they're "in love" after barely exchanging names, type of love at first sight. For this reason, I didnt finish this book. I tried to keep reading/listening to it, but gave up at chapter 8.

I've read a few other books from this author & loved her style. This book, just wasn't for me.

Please excuse my grammar. I'm on tired and have Theraflu brain today.

Poor performance

The performance is so very poor, i can't understand half of what Cris Dukehart is saying. Her voices are terrible. I couldn't finish..Once more a poor performance ruins the book

UGH it's SO BAD

It's hard to make an interesting vampire story and unfortunately this isn't one. it's simple and I had multiple eye roll moments. Very cleche and uninspired.

It's Really Horrible

I'm still not convinced this is a LLM book, want my money back. It's a mixture of several other author's books (Atlantis, time traveling, redemption of a vamp who becomes a human, unrequited love, angels, etc.). I found myself daydreaming about 100x throughout.... Wow, just a horrible mess. I was bored and needed a little distraction, would have gotten better enjoyment from a long nap. Again, can't believe this was actually written my LLM.
