Publisher's summary

Some things weren't meant to stay hidden....

Sydney Davies is used to being in the spotlight. But the former model turned fashion designer isn't used to family secrets. Sydney is sent to dig up the past. What she finds instead is Deacon and a case of a missing girl with a link back to her life in the fashion industry.

Deacon McKnight is hardly ever surprised due to his work as an investigator. But then he finds a woman with a shovel in his backyard in the middle of the night. And that is just the start of surprises. Now Sydney's life is in danger because of his case and Deacon must decide if some things are better left hidden.

Family history is everything

The bluegrass series always makes me laugh this one begins with sad tears brings laughter and ends with more years of sadness and joy.... Of course you will have the Rose sisters tea and the antics of the town and the Davies family.... Enjoy!

Excellent!

Ms. Brooks has written another great book which joins the other great Bluegrass books. What I especially loved about this book was the female ancestors (starting in the 1700's) making sure their female heirs would be self sufficient so they wouldn't be forced into marriage. This is conveyed through letters found. Of course there is the tight knit town and famlies, the suspense and comic relief which grace all of the Bluegrass series. I listened to this one in one day!

Great story with a strong female heroine!

I love all of Kathleen Brooks' stories! However, I find this to be one of her best. She is able to cover the difficult and scary topic of sex trafficing in a way that brings awarness to the readers while giving strength to those who may have been affected. Syndey is a strong female heroine who is able to fight to defemd herself. I love a story where the woman doesn't have to be we saved by a man and still gets her happily ever after. This is a great story and very well written!

I want to move to that town.

Each book gets better than the last. I love all the people. I wish I could find a place where I felt as accepted as these stories tell about. I laughed so hard I cried.

Treasure Hunt for love

I'm guilty for listening to some of the series out of order so I already loved Deacon and Sydney in later books.
Sydney is gifted with a treasure hunt upon her Grandmothers death to find out the Daughters of Elizabeth family secrets. The fun introduction between Deacon and Syd as he discovers her digging up his backyard leads to a hot romance, action and suspense as they work together on a PI to find a missing hopeful model leading to an FBI investigation. Of course the people of Keenston are always happy to help out.

One of my favorite parts about the women of Keenston is their over protective fathers and grandbaby hungry mothers. Fortunately, Deacon wins them over with ease.

Eric G. Dove is amazing and I have yet to listen to a book narrated by him that I haven't enjoyed.
