Publisher's Summary

Harley Vincent is resigned to life in the human world. Sure, being a margay shifter is half her nature, but life among humans gives her the freedom to roam and do as she pleases. That is, until anti-shifter extremists target her, putting her life in immediate danger.
When an old acquaintance and onetime fling, Jesse Dalton, shows up to offer the protection of his pack, Harley hesitates. She may have feelings for Jesse that go beyond their one-night stand, but life among shifters means giving over her independence to the needs of pack. Plus Mercury Pack has its own threat to face: a rich half-shifter is determined to claim their territory at any cost.
Jesse, who lost his true mate as a child, has wanted Harley since their night together, and he's not letting her go again. They may not be destined for each other, but he knows she belongs to him and with his pack. Even if he can convince her to join him now, can he convince her to stay?

It was ok

I'm a huge fan but I have to say this was my least favorite in this series. Usually I can't put them down but with this one it just didn't grab me like all the others. It did make me begin to listen to the series from the beginning though!

Wow

I am so sad it ended. Different look at a mating relationship but still very intense. Their was no slow spot.

What the heck happened to Jills voice?

I've loved all the of the books in this series and the Phoenix Pack series, and find that Jill is actually one of the only narrators whos voice DOESN'T irritate me - but seriously, what was up with her voice change in this book? It was like she decided to take on a half-British accent and dragged out every word. I had to stop listening - sorry Jill!

Not as good as the other stories in the series.

I usually really enjoy Suzanne Wright's work, but I have to say this was very disappointing. I didn't particularly like either Harley or Jessie as characters, and the story itself was rather dull and predictable. I also found Jill Redfield's narration rather annoying. This book was definitely not up to par with the other books.

the love story to the fore

I was waiting for the true mate bomb to drop. 1st imprint I've read. I wasn't sure if I'd take to Jesse as he wasn't an original thru the Phoenix pack. but all good as it forked at the junction and took the road less traveled so a lead....love and not war
