Riley may be one of the top female mountain climbers in the world, but when testing her abilities by scaling the forbidden mountain, she encounters an adventure completely out of her control. The mountain is forbidden for a reason, and when she finds herself in unknown territory, surrounded by a mountain tribe she never knew existed, her stubbornness thrusts her further into a ritual she knows very little about. She becomes a prize in The Carnal Games - and she's not so sure she wants to be in that position, but she has no choice.

DEFINITELY erotica w/ unfinished ending
Interesting first part of the story
Intriguing, descriptive, short
There are many elements to this book that are memorable. The whole idea of finding Shangrala and being trapped there is interesting. There are also many groups to meet throughout the story. While I generally liked the lead character Riley, I was confused by the way she interacted with the others. Not sure I would have been so friendly. I loved the moment she has at the end. Total Girl Power!!
Really fantastic tone and delicious pace in the smexy scene. She really added action to the book with her voice. She had quite a few accents to tackle, great job keeping them distinct and consistent. I hope she stays with the books and we get to hear more of her great characterizations!
It is a very short read and terrific for listening in one sitting. You could also break it up if you wanted to. Maybe take a break after the uber smexy scene at the waterfall!
This book is mostly story with a few erotic scenes in the mix. I would not classify it as a romance at this point, no real feeling have been displayed. It also ends abruptly. It seems to be part of one book broken into a series of sections, not my favorite style. I like to get the whole story in one shot, I suck at waiting for the next book. Still it is a solid listen and I am curious to know what the games entail.
