Publisher's summary

Book two in the Mitchell series starts where Letting Go left off. Ty and Miranda have always considered themselves cousins, due to the fact that they both share a common relative - Colt - even though they aren't really related at all. After helping Miranda deliver her baby in the backseat of a car, Ty becomes closer to both she and her baby. Their long-distance friendship keeps them platonic, even though in the past they both have wondered if there was something more happening between them. When something happens, and Miranda is forced to leave Kentucky and stay at Ty's parents farm, sparks start to fly.

This book contains explicit language and sexual situations. Not intended for listeners under 18.

Loved it

I enjoyed this book more than the first one. Tyler and Miranda we're both misunderstood but their character growth made for a beautiful love story.

Not sure about this one

2nd in series.

I would only recommend this for fans of books with unsympathetic lead characters.

I was unsure whether I would give this book a try because of how much I disliked the Ty character in the first book. Even after finishing it, I'm on the fence about whether I should have bothered.

Before the turning point, both of the main characters are incredibly unsympathetic. Then there is a (perhaps unconvincing) trigger to change, then they are both suddenly transformed into (completely different) sympathetic characters.

Before the turn, Ty comes across as even more of a massive asshat than in book 1. He is incredibly self-centred, treats women like crap and blames them for it, and is unable to have empathy for anyone he hurts.

Before the turn, Miranda is a hopeless doormat with zero self-esteem who creates and escalates conflict with her soon-to-be-ex scumbag boyfriend.

Once they get together, the sexy times are pretty hot, though.

The "after" characters are pretty sweet.

The narration is okay.
