Publisher's Summary

Brandee has been dumped in every way possible, but by text is the last straw. That's it - she's officially done with men. Unfortunately, she's just been told her "soul mate" is the drool-worthy hottie all her friends call One-Night Nick. Nick has been searching for true love for 100 years. After all, werewolves mate for life, and he does not want to mess this up. As soon as he kisses Brandee, he knows she's the one. But how will he convince a woman who knows nothing of paranormals that she's about to be bound to a werewolf forever?

Critic Reviews

"Hot sex scenes and a breezy tone with a nice, happily-ever-after ending makes Chase's story - with its interesting cast of humans, werewolves, shape-shifters, witches, wizards, and vampires - a fun listen." ( Booklist)

Horrible story line childish content

What would have made Flirting Under a Full Moon better?

There is nothing interesting about the characters. The female lead with her stupid sayings for cuss words makes you want to smack her with the book. The male lead, so what he's a
Warewolf who cares because the author doesn't care enough to make the plot interesting

What do you think your next listen will be?

Eve of Darkness by Sylvia Day

What didn’t you like about Leah Mallach’s performance?

Not sure that the problem is two fold or if the content was just so bad that there was nothing that she could do.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It has opportunities for a good story but the author never makes anything interesting with the characters.

Any additional comments?

Sorry I wasted my token on this book.

Cheeky and over the top drama

What was most disappointing about Ashlyn Chase’s story?

I'm not sure exactly what I didn't like about the story. Normally this is right up my alley. The love scenes were hot but the story just didn't pull me in. I could have put the book down at any point and not finished it.

I think it lost me when there was a frustrated, grumpy Mother Nature who had a council with the other gods that watched over the paranormals with human spy's. The fact that Mother Nature looks down her nose on everyone just seemed it was trying too hard to create drama. The fact that all this is because she won't have sex because she doesn't know what she will give birth too was just a little unbelievable.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

I didn't have an issue with narrator. I'm not honestly sure if it was the story or what about this one. It really looked like it should have been a good story. I'm not sure why it just didn't do it for me.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Any additional comments?

It did have a happy ending. That was the best part of the book. I wish I had liked the book but I don't think I'll pick up anymore in the series. Sorry.

Not as good as it could have been

Would you try another book written by Ashlyn Chase or narrated by Leah Mallach?

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Monotonous, evenly paced, relentless cheerful. The narrator sounded as if she was smiling all the time, which got a bit tedious

If this book were a film would you go see it?

Thankfully, this storyline would not suit a film without major changes, which might make it rather better

Any additional comments?

Relentlessly sweet, characters laughing, giggling, smiling ALL THE TIME. Lacked any elements of major suspense or drama, and the male character had friends available with convenient powers/abilities whenever he needed them. It read rather more like a selection of linked short stories than a novel.
