Publisher's summary

Forced seduction. Dubious consent. Submission. Domination. These are the types of stories that make Janice Allen’s panties damp. For years, she’s devoured every BSDM romance she could get her hands on. The older she’s grown, the darker her tastes have become. When she runs across Fantasy Island’s ad in a novel, she can’t pass up the opportunity to experience it herself. Too late, she remembers the old adage: Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it.

Caution: Story contains an angry hero bent on teaching the heroine a well-deserved lesson, and role-playing which gets way out of hand.

Unexpected consequences

This story feels more like a cautionary tale than a romance. Not giving spoilers the only thing that can be said is it's true in order for all relationships to work you must be able to communicate. Communicate both your desires as well as your triggers. While I understand that's what the plot attempted to comply the storyline's choppiness in switching between the narrative, characters self-reflection and actual life action made the story flat. Additionally, this choppiness made the characters very hard to relate to. I have read several other novellas from the author and this one doesn't live up to their quality.

It was ok

The story was ok. I really didn't like the husband's brutality when she tried to escape, but the rest of the story was ok.I don't know if I would recommend this book unless it was free.

A problematic favorite

First of all the story is ridiculously good. I didn’t expect it and when I started to hear more of the main characters woes I saw a lot of my own flaws and insecurities and desires being smacked into my face. No one can live up to the sparkling picture the authors paint when it comes to the Dream hero least of all our spouses. what I love about this book is it highlights the fact that the perfect person for you isn’t perfect what we think we want isn’t necessarily what we actually need.

I thought the reader was phenomenal and I listen to it all in one sitting to the point that I was molding around my day and chores just so I could be able to finish it all in one go. She had a perfect sexy voice for the right parts in places and her heroes boys was very gruff and masculine.

I’ll be honest and say that I wasn’t really into audible books but after this one I think I could get into it.

Loved it!

It was touch and go with all the emotions but a great story to read.

Another different but interesting storyline

BDSM can be a topic difficult to tackle for some; however, I understand it more thanks to the way it was explained in this book. The narrator botched the male voice at times. This was my least favorite of the Fantasy series, but it was interesting.

Eh...

I just really didnt care for the way BDSM ended up being portrayed in this book. It didnt work out for this couple, but it seemed like the heroine ended up really looking down on the reality of it. There was just no positive portrayal of the lifestyle in this book.

Not Good

I think the narrator makes this not a good listen. I have said this on the precious books. She just doesn't make me want to listen. Also I could not get into the story, because they were a married couple. I wanted fresh and new.

Run Jared Run

I didt'nt care for Janice at all. Her "Fantasy Island" trip was a plan to cheat on her husband. If he hadn't received the invite that's exactly what she was going to do. For those of you who say: "It was a fantasy trip" NO! Having actual physical contact (sexual) with someone other than your significant other is cheating.
