What Did You Do For Summer Vacation?

This is a cute, funny and short snippet of "the crew" and how they spent their summer vacation. although the story is told from Dane and Laney's POV, we get to catch up with all of their friends. Who know that fixing up a duplex could be so much fun. I am really loving this series and this novella does an amazing job of segueing from Evan's story to Sawyer's story.

Good narration makes for a very pleasant listen.

Definitely worth the discounted price, I wouldn't use a full credit for this.

Dane & Laney

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Audible Plus review. Dual POV. Book 2.5 of 12 Evolve/Full Circle series. I enjoyed both of the narrators. YA/college romance. A stolen 'Fifty Shades of Grey' almost bar fight moment. Trigger warnings: Dane is becoming dominant; an almost dance floor molestation/bar fight in Dane's club.

This novella picks up in the last portion of 'Embrace' and continues through approximately a month after it ends. It's seemingly summer break. Michael Dane Kendrick (aka Dane) bought Laney Jo Walker (aka Disney) a duplex so they didn't have to worry about the 11 o'clock curfew at her dorm. Tate, Dane's older half-brother, and Bennett, Laney's former college roommate, live in the other half. Laney and Dane redecorate the interior with a combination of manual labor and garage sale finds while Dane hires a guy to build her a deck. Sawyer Landon Beckett is sullen and distant. Parker and Hayden get married and are expecting triplets. Evan moved in with Whitley. Sawyer moved into Laney's guest bedroom. Tate is running one of Dane's gyms. Dane is considering hiring a CEO to run his company and going to college with Laney. It ends on their first day of Laney's second year of school; none of them are engaged. Laney's dad is dating. Laney is now in contact with her mom. Zach and Avery had an embarrassing moment in the bar with Avery begging Zach to go with her and Laney & Dane jumping in to defend Zach. Dane was going to propose but Laney questioned whether Parker and Hayden were rushing things so Dane decided to wait. JP

I couldn't even get through the entire book

Too many sex scenes and so corny. The only reason to listen was to try and finish the series but I couldn't even do that. I had to stop listening when she stated playing with his balls... yuck, why and unnecessary. it's like the book was written just to have a story for the sex. Corny

Short and Sweet

This short installment hints at what will be the focus of book 3.

There’s nothing earth shattering here, though it does add color to the various couples in the series.

Simple, sweet, nothing ground breaking.

Great for what it was. Just a quick sweet story. Heavy on the ‘sweet’. It’s a good pallet cleanser if you’re coming off a harder/darker book. Nothing groundbreaking. I would say it kind of makes me like Laney a bit less, just because her story is already told so these glimpses into more of her don’t add anything to her character. Audio performances continue to be great. Love that the voices match the characters ages appropriately.

Pretty good

Laney & Dane were a little annoying in this one.—Dane borders on controlling at some points, and Laney is a little whiny in some parts. But it was a cute, short story.
It would be nice for Dane to follow his passion more & to not come across as so much older than everyone else.

I, again, could have REALLY done without the homophobic “banter” and misogynistic, derogatory undertones. It’s not funny or unique. Enough.

Nope...

I can't stand Laney. She is simply annoying and thinks everything's all about her. Too self-righteous!! If not for her character, or maybe even a little less, I could deal. Narration, a little stiff. Ugghh, hope she's not the main in the next story.
