Publisher's Summary

No one ever suspected that Sheriff Riley Buchanan, a local hero, was driven by a dark fear that his ancestral blood would one day transform him into a monster. Now, hunted by his family's brutal enemies, Riley, in search of ancient weapons, comes face-to-face with a woman he had given up years before.... Hope Summers still makes him ache with hunger - for her body and her blood, and Riley wants nothing more than to possess her in every way possible. Still, he knows he must keep his distance. Though fate has other plans....

3 1/2 stars

I lowered my rating of this third book because of the too similar plots. In every single book, either the Hero or the Heroine or sometimes both, kept their emotional distance, in order to protect the other. In addition, in all three books, the Buchanan sibling was afraid to feed from their mate. This refusal went on and on and on and on.......you get the picture. The other big issue I have, with these books, is the narrator. I always believe that dual narration is best but occasionally there is a narrator that is so talented that they can successfully pull off both genders voices. This narrator lacks that talent. I may try one more book, in the series but, if it’s the same old same ole plot, I won’t be continuing the series.

I'm still annoyed with the title being put half way through the book it's like they think we'll forget it if they don't other than that a decent book good but not great on par with the previous ones.
