Publisher's summary

I was born into British aristocracy, but I've made my fortune in Manhattan. New York is now my kingdom.

Back in Britain, my family is fighting over who's the next Duke of Fairfax. The rules say it's me - if I'm married. It's not a trade-off worth making. I could never limit myself to just one woman.

Or so I thought until my world is turned upside down. Now, the only way I can save the empire I built is to inherit the title I've never wanted - so I need a wife.

To take my mind off business I need a night that's all pleasure. I need to bury myself in a stranger.

The skim of Scarlett King's hair over my body as she bends over...

The scrape of her nails across my chest as she screams my name...

The bite of her teeth on my shoulder just as we both reach the edge...

It all helps me forget.

I just didn't bargain on finding my one night stand across the boardroom table the next day.

She might be my latest conquest but I have a feeling Scarlett King might just conquer me.

A sexy, stand-alone romance.

For Harper and Max's story, listen to King of Wall Street.

For Violet and Alexander's story, listen to The British Knight.

For Darcy and Logan's story, listen to The Earl of London.

For Grace and Sam's story, listen to Park Avenue Prince.

The narration was excellent and the story was not the typical romance. I loved this book from start to finish. Worth the credit🤡🤡🤡

Dirty talking Duke? Yes, please!

I'm so absolutely thrilled with this book. Such a great story and character. It's such a fresh take on a love story. A bit of a second chance romance mixed with a fairytale and topped with that Louise Bay magic that makes everything better.

This is a MUST read! I fell so in love with Ryder as much as he fell in love with Scarlett. Two characters who find in each other what they never knew they always needed. And this book is exactly what you've come to love about a Louise Bay novel: fun, sexy, STEAMY, and full of heart.

Narration by Saskia Maarleveld and Shane East was perfectly cast. Saskia brought vulnerability and strength to Scarlett and Shane's voice oozed sex appeal as Ryder. And that accent...wow!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Strong female lead changed to whiny & meek.

first half of the book you have a strong Confident Woman which turned into a total opposite whiny and meek stranger annoyingly questioning everything throughout the second half on thoughts that would normally be common sense to pretty much anyone. sad representation of women & just extremely annoying. nearly quit listening many times and surprised I actually finished. wasn't worth my listening time in the least.

Perfect fairytale romance!

It was predictable with plenty of romance & steam. This started as an 'about last night' and ended with my heart fluttering. There's no real drama. I enjoyed listening to Scarlet's story (sister of Max King of King of Wall Street). LB didn't disappoint. Although this is a series, this being book 3 these are all stand alone books for various family or friends of Max King. Narrators were fantastic! Would be a great road trip listen. Worth my credit: yes! I can't wait for Violet's book.

Unremarkable

It was "okay". not special or great. The characters were surface only. I didn't love either of them. This felt like a book that was written in a weekend. Sweet story, but rushed and not well written. it almost felt like a children's book. other than the "love scenes" which was rushed and redundant. the conversations were; he said, she said, he said, she said, they said, I said, he said... redundant as well. not a lot of thought put in to the way it reads.

Use that credit!

Another good story by Louise Bay. For those of us who love this genre, this one is definitely a winner. The narration was perfect and the ending, well...

BRILLIANT LOVE STORY 💖💖💖💖💖

LOVED both characters, Ryder and Sharlotte meet the first time when he's trying to by her business. There is a attraction between them, but she wants his money to help her business and he wants just to by it.
Enter the story line, Sharlotte's been terribly hurt by her first husband in a painful divorce . Ryder is kinda one night guy with no plans for marriage. But to save his family's home and title he must be married. before his Grandfather dies or has a greedy cousin who will inherit the the title in the land.
At first Ryder seems not to care about the title and the estate, his sister is the one that takes care of the estste and the land and he wants her to have the home she loves. His Grandfather had part of ownership in Ryder's business and put it in his will as part of his Estate. Now to save everything he needs a wife only until he can inherit his Grandfather's estate.
Now he needs a wife. but who...who can he pay to be just his wife ? ....Sharlotte !!
Fun read , fabulous storyline ! . GREAT NARRATORS, especially SHANE EAST !!💖💖
PERCT BRITISH ACCENT, BROUGHT RYDER TO LIFE !! ALSO SASKIA MAARLEVELD WAS GREAT WITH SHARLOTTE'S VOICE!!
BROVO LOUISE BAY!!

Duke Rules!

Where does Duke of Manhattan rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Read the whole series thus far and greatly enjoyed Ryder and Scarlett. They are a great couple and the entire story was well done. It took off fast and kept going. I so wish there was a follow up and an additional story about these too. I enjoyed Max King and Harper but loved reading about Max's sister and her HEA with Ryder. Great summer read!

Dreadful.

Extremely poor all the way around. The narration was especially painful. Absolutely do not recommend this book.

A 5 star Sexy Must Listen!

I loved it! It was sexy, funny, full of angst, & steamy. The storyline kept me hanging on & wanting more. The narrators did a perfect job of conveying the emotions. I loved Shane West! His accent was very sexy. Sasha Maarleveld delivered a great performance as well. Thank you for another great story Louise Bay!
