Publisher's summary

Sebastian Stone, Sunder front man and guitarist with a rap sheet about 10 miles long, escaped to Savannah, Georgia, to get away from the trouble he'd caused, not find more of it. The moment he met Shea Bentley, he saw beneath all her sweetness and innocence something that went deeper. Darker. Their relationship was built on secrets, their love built on lies. Sebastian never imagined how deep her secrets went.

When the past and present collide, Sebastian and Shea find themselves fighting for a future neither believed they deserved. Their passion is consuming and their need unending. Now, holding the truth in his hands, Sebastian is faced with sacrificing everything he's come to love to protect Shea and his family.

I Really wanted to love this book

Even with all of the mixed reviews and me not liking the 1st book, I still wanted to give this book a chance. This certainly wasn't the worst book but it wasn't one of my favorites. I struggled during some of the parts to refrain from fast forwarding because some parts would drone on and on uneccesarily. Other parts were really good and interesting. It was just a constant 'peak and valley' of a book that struggled to maintain my attention as I struggled to get through it so that I could move on to the next book in my list.

Even Sebastian Yorks' narration couldn't save this book and that's saying alot, he makes even some of the worst books better just by the sound of his voice.

Overall this isn't a terrible book by any means and if you liked the 1st book or just want to give this book a chance, absolutely take the plunge. However if you are on the fence like I was, don't waste your money or a credit on this one.

Great sequel!

I HAD to pick this book up after the ending on book one.. RIGHT AWAY.. That ending.. wicked and heart breaking.

The first story was great, but this one.. this one by far passed it! I didn't think it would, but the more the story unfolded, the more I couldn't wait to find out what happened next.

There is love and sex, which was the sweet part of the story... and then there is the rest.. There is time when my stomach twisted because of the horrible things that we were finding out and the things that were happening! This poor couple and the sweet little girl that gets caught in the middle....

I will say that the words being repeated THREE times ALL the time got to be a bit much, but I will COMPLETELY applaud the narrators for making it as bearable as possible, but it was distracting and annoying at times through both books. However, the other aspects of the book were so great I can't mark down on the rating because of it.

Again Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did a FANTASTIC job with this story and I really have gotten to the point where I will pick up almost any book they do together because they add so much to the story!

✫✫ 5 Stars ✫✫

It felt like forever for this book to come out on audio after the ending of book 1. I loved that this book picks right up where book 1 left off and we didn't have to go through all the backstory details like you usually do with series books. Baz & Shae's story wraps up perfectly. Loved everything about this book!
The narration was perfect as always with these two!

A RIVETTING ROLLER-COASTER ROCKER ROMANCE

Before I started this second part of Sebastian and Shea's love story, I went back and listened to book 1 A Stone In The Sea again.... and I'm so so glad I did because it's been months (and lots of books) since I listened to it and I'd forgotten so much of the intricacies to the backstory in this riveting and totally addictive Duet. There is a lot of drama and angst in this second part to their sizzling romance - as well as passion, pain, heartache, tension, sex, secrets and revelations.

The handsome and sexy Rock sensation that is Sebastian (Baz) has so many toxic hang-ups, conflicts and demons rattling around in his head which build up and drives him to take action..... in the name of love and revenge. Shea, who has past and present demons of her own, has to step in to uncover the truths hidden in her past..... to save her soul-mate, to save herself and to secure a HEA future for all.

There are twists and surprises as well as a tender, obsessive and all consuming romance between two very likeable characters and the storyline has other interesting characters weaving throughout this well written love story. Dual POV's and the narrators brought the whole thing to life so each scene could be easily imagined and each character could be easily visualized as the chapters deliciously unravelled.

Worth a credit? Yes, very enjoyable, very entertaining and very creditworthy...... and you lucky listeners won't have to wait months, as so many of us did, after the torturous cliffhanger at the end of book 1. Book 3 in this series will be a standalone, will be about Lyrik (another member of Sunder) and will be added to my iPhone just as soon as it's released on Audible..... hopefully quickly followed by all the rest.

On repeat

Loved this book however, I agree with what others wrote. The author was on repeat. It wasn't necessary for her to repeat words like she did. It became super annoying. So in order to get around the annoyance when I knew she was going to repeat those certain words I made it a game and beat the reader to it. Lol. I am truly hoping the rest of the series doesn't have the repeat words and it was just Shea's and Bas's thing.

Best of the best

This really is the best series. I have already listened to it once, this
is my second go on the entire series, and it is as wonderful as the first
time. The writing is fantastic, the narration perfect.

Good conclusion!

This was a very sweet conclusion to this romance. And I enjoyed the romantic aspects of the book a lot! Even the long epilogue was a really nice glimpse of happiness after they had struggled so much!
However for such a long book, the plot and dramatic climax fell super short. The characters especially Baz made some really dumb decisions essentially and the key to resolving everything ostensibly came out of no where. Yes, everything was wrapped up and resolved very tidily- too tidily. It was a bit hard to believe or swallow after ALL THAT ANGST and DRAMA. But nevertheless it ended on a satisfying note and I’m willing to give a decent rating because the romance was soooo good and sweet and I liked the book in spite of the various flaws.
