Publisher's summary

Gavin Kingsley burst into my life in a sharp and unexpected twist of fate. You know his type - arrogant, dangerously handsome and impossible to ignore.

Something dark within him calls to the shadows inside me. I long for the kind of heart-wrenching passion I've only read about, and his tragic past reads like one of my favorite literary classics. Raw. Visceral. Captivating. Together, we're a perfect mess.

The deeper I fall into his world, the more I crave him like a drug - he pushes every boundary I have and challenges everything I thought I wanted. I want to unlock his heart. I want his dirty secrets.

But in the end, will he be the blade that cuts me...or the bond that makes my life complete?

Not quite satisfying but good

I almost stopped listening, in a way I wish I had, it's a cliffhanger and I hate cliffhangers. If I know going into it, it's a series, duet or trilogy, that's fine but I absolutely hate when there is no indication that it is not a stand alone.
That said...
The female character is weak and whines too much. She has a backbone in one sentence, then poof, it's gone. She just removed herself from an abusive relationship and is right back into another one????? WEAK! I do love Kendall Ryan, have several of her books and have enjoyed them all. But I can't stand it when an independent, strong women turns into a mush mouth and doesn't stand up for herself, when some man she just meets, runs all over her.
Zachary Webber as always does a wonderful job and Megan Tusing, although not in his league did well.
Not sure I'll purchase the next book IN THIS DUET.
If there's another cliffhanger, I'm done.

Great narration, decent story

This was a decent listen. A quick story without much depth. The narrators did a great job. It was the story that was lacking for me. The ending was abrupt and the character development felt like too many characters I’ve read about before. I will listen to audio 2. Hopefully it will be a bit more interesting.

Just amazing!!!

Loved this!!!
Kendall Ryan once again has created a fictional world that you just want to jump into!!

The story line is unlike anything she's ever created and I'm wowed by her creativity and originality of character development.

Narration was perfect! Megan Turing was perfect as Emma! And....Zachary Webber just brings the story to life once again and leaves me speechless with his depiction of the Kingsley brothers.

So looking forward to Dirty Little Promise!!

My Thoughts on Dirty Little Secret

Dirty Little Secret was one of those books that I absolutely enjoyed reading or listening to. It was filled with secrets and steam and great story telling. It had those characters that you just love and want more of, hopefully in the form of their own book in future. But then there were also those characters that drove you a little bit crazy and made you want to shake them at times.

Gavin was gruff and broody and sometimes a huge jerk, but I can't help feeling that there is even more then we know from this book that has made him this way. And what we do learn definitely helps to be a bit understanding. There were moments though that the level of jerk seemed extreme and I wanted to throw something.

Emma on the other hand was sweet and curious and had a bit of an obsessive side when or came to Gavin, but what I learned about her had me only wanting kindness and all things good to come her way. There were moments when Gavin wasn't the one I wanted for her just because I thought she deserved a nice guy.

However the chemistry and connection between these two is impossible to deny.

In the end I was left with so many questions and I am desperate to read book two and get the answers to my questions.

Zachary Webber was fantastic and I loved his voice for Gavin, Cooper, and even the female lines he had to say. Megan Tusing was new to me but pretty good as well.

Sexy and Alluring. A Great Listen!!

Another great story by Author Kendall Ryan!
I loved the characters, Gavin, Cooper and Emma.
One brother is dark and secretive while the other is light and outgoing.
Emma finds herself in a crossroads between the two but the heart wants what it wants.
The angst is there but it's wasn't edge of your seat nail bitting. It's just enough to keep you begging for me.
I devoured this book!!
Both narrators put on an excellent performance!! I truly enjoyed listening to them tell this story!!
But be warned... there's a cliffhanger!!
Can't wait for the second installment!!
I'll definitely be listening to the next book too!!

Love forbidden romances!!

I adore books about quite librarians with a naughtier side to them. Emma just hasn’t found her naughty side quite yet as she just left a physically abusive relationship. So here she is, this quite, beautiful woman who wants to help find herself again. She totally obsesses over this guy at a coffee shop and as chance finally works out for her, she gets his business card and now, the stalking kicks off! OK, ok… not exactly stalking but close anyway. I was really torn here… do we go for Gavin? Gavin the CEO of a very exclusive escort service. Or Cooper, Cooper the sexy and sweet man? Tough call for a woman with no options one minute and then she’s oozing sex the next minute!

I really liked Emma! She’s quite, she’s no risk taker, and she barely mustered the courage to leave an abusive relationship. So now she finds herself seduced by Gavin and Cooper! AND with another job as their exclusive escort… can you imagine?

So here is where I faltered a bit. I really expected some super naughty business going down now! But it kind of petered out. I think it’s the name mostly, Dirty Little Secret, you think you’re just getting that. It fell a bit short for me. I love Kendall Ryan’s writing. Her characterization building. Even the chemistry was there. Not exactly what I come to expect from a Kendall Ryan book.

So I've read this book and enjoyed it but audio is always so different and fun to listen too! This audio pulled me in from the first word spoken. The narrators, Zachary Webber and Megan Tusing did an amazing job on the characters. Megan seriously brought Emma to life for me! As my first Webber book, I'm kicking myself for not knowing his narrations were so enjoyable!! He is able to do different male characters justice. I was worried it would be too similar and I'd get lost but that wasn't the case! I loved it! Way to go Megan and Zachary! Superb job!

Intriguing with amazing narrators

So … apparently I am more corrupt and filthy-minded than I thought, because, in all honesty, when I picked up DIRTY LITTLE SECRET, I expected something much dirtier and raunchier than what I got – with it being a love triangle, maybe even some ménage-goodness thrown into the mix to have me fanning myself.

Still, this story is more than intriguing, with Emma having crushed on one of the Kingsley brothers from afar for so long and then being offered the golden and maybe a bit crude opportunity to become an exclusive escort for both brothers…

Now, with an arrangement like that heartbreak is inevitable, even when her relationship with one brother although being caring and loving and safe, lacks the fuzzy and electric feelings, while the other one is explosive and dangerous and intense and carnal, no matter how brooding or grumpy the man is all the time, no matter that the romantic portion is pretty much absent. The logic choice Emma should make is blatantly obvious, especially considering her still healing heart, but said heart has a mind of its own … or hasn’t it?

The decision is anything but easy – and is not made in this book. Damn you, cliffhanger! Ugh.

By the way, there are not two, but three Kingsley brothers, Quinn being the third and oldest one. He is pretty much an enigma to the reader so far, there are only tiny glimpses of him here and there. But color me intrigued, far beyond the bickering banter he shares with his siblings!

The audio book version is done by Megan Tusing and Zachary Webber. Shocking things first: It was my first time listening to Mr. Webber. Gasp! Believe me, I’m kicking myself enough for that already, because he does a stellar job! Moody Gavin or loving and carefree Cooper – they both were easily told apart, both given distinctive voices I feel in love with. And Ms. Tusing counterparts the book perfectly in the way she brings sweet Emma to life.

Intensely unexpected

I received this audio version of Dirty Little Secret for free in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! Firstly, Zachary Webber is just my all time favorite male narrator, and Megan does a wonderful job as Emma. Kendall Ryan is an incredible author and this love triangle between Gavin, Cooper and Emma is enticing. You really want to root for Cooper, but you’re drawn in by Gavin just the same as Emma is and you’re not really sure why.

The cliffhanger leading into book 2 sucks, but I’ll definitely be getting the next book to find out what happens between the Kingsley’s and Ms. Bell.

This book is definitely worth the credit.

I DEVOURED this story!

4.5 STARS
I LOVED this book! I loved the uncertainty and the angst and the passion. I DEVOURED IT. A new top favorite from Kendall Ryan.
The innocent little librarian, Emma Bell, finds herself torn between Gavin and Cooper. Gavin is the mysterious stranger she has been lusting after. Once he is a stranger no more, she soon realizes that although she is irresistibly drawn to him, he is a clear danger to her heart. He also has a rather mysterious past. Some of the things he says and does are a little cold and downright shocking. Like his brother says, he's behaving like a kid who doesn't want to share his toy. Cooper, his brother, is also intrigued by Emma. Cooper is equally sexy, but has charm and manners on his side. A tug of war between the two brothers ensues, with one brother clearly pushing the other's buttons. Adding to the intensity and uncertainly of which brother she will choose is the fact that we get all three characters POV's. Just when you think you know which brother she is going to chose, something else happens which makes you doubt. While there are three players in this game, I wouldn't really say it's a love triangle. She isn't sleeping with or even kissing both brothers so if you are looking for a "safe" book, this still qualifies.

Wildly intriguing, a touch erotic and overflowing with suspense and angst. When it’s all said and done, Dirty Little Secret is going to leave you begging for more.
