Publisher's summary

Q wished that Bacon had killed Red when he had the chance. Red knew Q's career as a hustler was over, and he was counting on starting a new legit business with the money he had made. He had once believed Red when she promised that the money didn't mean a thing and she would give it all up to be with him. Bacon returns from prison and suddenly Q is left for dead.

With Q out of the picture, Bacon now has Red to himself. His sights are set on being the top hustler with Red by his side. He believes Red has finally changed when she reveals the truth about her past. But all comes to a head when the snooping detective Thomas suspects Red's involvement in Q's getting shot and the murder of Zeke, Q's best friend. With two murders, a tumultuous love affair, and money on her mind, Red must make a decision: Does she turn over a new leaf or revisit her dirty ways of old? Gritty, steamy, and intense, Stringer delivers another action-packed caper about a hustler in high heels who is Dirtier Than Ever.

Red is so darn grimey

Red plays victim along with all the other characters. They blame every one else for their problems. Red is only loyal to herself. I hope she gets done in even worse than she did all the others

Payback is Red

This dang Red is just low down and dirty like why would she put markel in the middle of her and Terri mess. Then she lied on Q knowing he had nothing to do with killing the friend. Poor Bacon gone kill Red when he finds out she set them up

Satisfying

I enjoyed this book. The ending was kinda predictable because she had done way too much dirt to get away scot free but overall this was a good read.

They don’t call her dirty red for nothing!

The series is addictive however I had hoped that Red would stop lying and seek the couch of a therapist so she can heal. Also why didn’t she hire security, install a panic room in her mansion and ensure she had massive weapons at her disposal knowing she crossed so many people out. I felt bad for the detective out of her other victims but I do understand she did what she always do and that’s put herself first especially since she was the number one suspect of the murder of Ezekiel. I wonder if detective Thomas had time to give the recording of catfish admitting to killing Red’s friend prior to his arrest since he said he would keep it safe until the right time. Red should have made sure Catfish was charged for the murder and attempted murder before going to IA to have Thomas arrested since he was the only one helping her take down all the people who did her wrong. Also why didn’t Red just pay Catfish to kill her step father? She could have gone to visit Catfish during another visit since she already had the recording and asked him to take care of Jerome. I hope W recovers but I didn’t like the fact that Red lied to Thomas and accused him of killing his own best friend. Last but not least Mikel didn’t deserve to be arrested although he played games with two friends by lying and cheating; overall he was a good father. Why not just get Terri arrested for the drive by shooting instead? At times I feel sympathy for Red due to her past and her unresolved pain she’s harboring around but at some point when does she take accountability for her actions! It was hard to feel bad for her when things start taking a turn for the worse for her due to her constant scheming and hurting others in the process. I was rooting for Red once her and Q got back together in Mexico and I had hoped for them to have a happy ending but so much for wishful thinking!
